My last fag was in 1977.....40 years ago.... and it almost made me puke. Can't stand the stink of it nowadays.
Had a few bongs since then, but getting too old for that now......takes days to recover and the chest complains.
Probably Marlboro...And that would be the "worldwide choice," too, as far as popularity and availability, but the cost may be prohibitive...
Kinda like the "King of Beers," Budweiser...Both are top brand names, but the quality is most debatable, primarily when speaking of the latter, since Marlboro ain't a bad smoke...
And I believe Bud is ranked 3rd and 4th in the world since Bud Light (better selling) is "an entity of its own"...
Benson & Hedgehogs.
Smooth and classy with a tendency to prickliness.
When I smoked these were my brand of choice when I was in Ireland, they were unfiltered like Woodbines, proper gaspers, I loved the packet.
I just did a Wiki search and it says they were discontinued about 10 years ago. It also says, and I never knew this, that they were the favourite ciggies of Jean-Paul Sartre and terribly popular with the intellectuals of the Left Bank.
