No, as soon as I saw that "rape" seemed to be taken as the most extreme violent form of sexual coercion (even though I did mean rape since it involves unwillingness on the part of the man) I immediately suggested it was too strong a word. Not a "massive backtrack" at all, but a mere clarification.
Sexually assertive is too mild a word for the forceful nature of what happens and is not what I described or said.

But even if it is your own experience it is still anecdotal.

I am pretty sure a study of male female behaviour in Fiji would not show a race of humans behaving in the opposite way to humans everywhere else.

I doubt if women generally chase multiple men voraciously for casual sex and men run and hide from them and play coy and giggle together in groups of males.

I know females occasionally will be assertive and forward when it comes to sex but not generally.

All I'm saying is that some of them will take what they want, forcefully. A bit more than just being assertive.

And then there's the locking ankles thing! Do Western women do that? I have not experienced a Western, or Asian woman do that. It's quite subjugating.

These 'guardian' articles are usually just politically moulded fodder for the chattering classes.

I am just saying that the sexes are substantially different in nature. They have asymmetric typical traits which are the result of evolutionary forces. Individuals can deviate from the average behaviours but the average is still the average.

It is even possible that an entire society could be a statistical outlier and women were warriors or held the power, but I think it is more likely in these cases that a substantial amount of exaggeration and smoke and mirrors is being used to come up with a politically massaged example to feed the hungry guardian readers!

I agree, they are full of shit... effeminate reactionary puritans driving a self-destructive "diversity" agenda. It's going to take years to repair the damage inflicted by the likes of New Labour and Obama and moronic fellow-travellers.
