Parking near Thai embassy in London?

Have to go down to renew wife and kid Thai passport, only been once before and that was over 5 years ago and got the train/underground. Going to drive down this time and anyone know the best place to park, ideally in walking distance but no problem if need get the underground?

^ Those car parks are considerably more expensive than street parking places which are right outside.

Thing is there are no meters any more and you have to park, call the number on the nearest lamp post and pay by card. You also have to register the vehicle first. Good thing is it sends you a text 5 minutes before your time's up and you can extend your time from your mobile.

Don't forget you have to pay the congestion charge too.

Also, make sure to check carefully for bays which are suspended (yellow signs). The traffic wardens are sneaky fvckers and purposefully try to catch you out.

Is the Thai embassy in the congestion zone?

Now I think about it I don't think it is.
    So come from the west.
    Check that though.

    Edit:

    No it's not.

East of Park Lane enters the zone.

Think my satnav will give me a route avoiding the congestion zone, so no worries there, will be coming in from West as will probably go M6, M40 to get to London then where ever my satnav takes me after that.

This is 7 years old, but parking at Stanmore seems to be the key for these other Northern Monkeys
