My opinion is that at home with your better half and with a single glass of whisky with a tiny bit of syrup in it is the correct way to see in the new year.

I will leave the raucous piss-head antics to the younger fellas.

My daughters birthday is New Year's Day too, not so bad now she is older but used to feel so sorry for her when young and people gave her Birthday and Christmas presents in one.

An E sounds lovely!! Haven't had one for years. Theres a pub near me, but usually full of beautiful succesful young things buying bottles of overpriced champers.

Dont know if they would appreciate a grey, middle aged woman with coldsores and only a tenner on her, in their midst!!

I haven't seen my "man with the nice sweeties" for years either.

As ever I'll aim to be tucked up at around 10.30.

Then I rise bright-eyed and bushy-tailed on new years day and head out into the public domain with the expressed intention of staring at people with hangovers - just to make them feel uncomfortable and anxious. People who've had the gumption to have fun in the same county as myself deserve to be taught a lesson.
