    Im an ex serviceman and member of the RBL. I have never been to a meeting. I buy a poppy mainly because i see the work the RBL do.
    I live just 300 mtrs from St Dunstans where they take care of blind ex servicemen and women and give respite holidays to them with their families. its no scam...

    As an aside ... I have no idea about the money raised from the Poppy Sales however, Dad ALWAYS spoke well of the Salvos (Salvation Army), said they were great to him during the war.

    Because of that, they are one of the Charities for which I find my hands are deeper then my pocket and come up with some coin for the collection tin.
