Geesh life is so shit for some:

Local 45yo + woman...Seen her pootling along on her motorbike many a time. Wife told me she don’t see so well..Probably cannot afford glasses. Apparently her dear husband had brought his girlfriend to live in their house. Met our rubber cutter guy in the market today...The poor woman apparently ran headlong into one of the road making vehicles not 300 meters along the road past our house and was killed……

Not for her. She's already dead.

Your right, to lose your life for the sake of a 100bht pair of glasses, that's cruel fate.

No, she lost her life because Crepitas has been badgering the council to build the road to his farm.
"After 8+ years of promises they are finally building a blacktop road past our farm."

No, of course it's not his fault, but remember the adage about a butterfly flaps it's wings somewhere and 8 years later something happens.

You're silly as all fok, little man.
I did not claim that (which is not to say that I don't claim it).

You just don't get it, do you. Mentioning the butterfly effect in terms of chaos theory was not apt, but the popular concept as per the movies was, in the context of what I posted.

It's heartbreaking seeing how some people live and die
There needs to be something to stop needless deaths like this happening

Driving on unlit roads with no lights, blacked out windows, 1 +1 = 2. Building a new highway, 2 or 3 lanes wide. At the edges a 45 deg slope down into the jungle. Some cars take weeks to find 100m off the road.

Don't blame the butterflies it was an unfriendly ghost.

A road construction vehicle is not small, how on earth can she have not seen it, if your eyesight is that bad you shouldn't be on the road. Luckily she didn't ride into any pedestrians before this happened, she could have injured others.
Yes she was poor, poor eyesight and poor judgment.

Nobody has considered that this poor woman might well have been murdered. Tempted to cross the road, given the promise of a pair of spectacles, she was picked up and hurled in front of the truck.

Poor Thai people are being murdered all over the place and nobody is doing anything to prevent this.

When I finally arrive in Thailand, I shall strive to put an end to this daily slaughter.

^ Yeah, I'm sure poor eyesight had nothing to do with it. If she couldn't see a road repair truck then she would have killed herself or someone else years ago.Did they happen to find a mobile phone in her hand, by any chance, or a plastic bag of iced coffee?

Think Prag hit her brother with his pick-up a few weeks ago.

    What an unlucky family.

oh dear.... so much pointless uninformed conjecture and analysis.....

Could have been any number of causes, given that the road is a sea of churned up mud.
The sad thing remains.... she is dead!

I am glad about that. So much better to be killed by being trampled by a grader than being sliced by a back hoe. All very sad.
