This is far too sensible a comment to be made on this forum. The lunatics have only looked at one side of the equation and the UK has been talked down without any consideration of how the rest of Europe will be hit by Brexit.

My daughter and her boyfriend were both lucky enough to buy two new Audi cars just over month ago. Lovely cars, yes, but they would not consider buying one now. All foreign car manufacturers will be hurt very badly. Likewise, the French, Spanish,Germans and Italians will see big drops in sales of wine to the UK and fruit and vegetable sales by these countries will go down the toilet.

The British are tough and will see it through. This cannot be said of the French or the others. We are weeks away from burning tyres on motorways and rioting. Mr Hollande will be on his way shortly and it is only a matter of time before the French will demand to leave the EU too. Then it will be back to normality with the UK at the top of the tree. Just where we should be !

A French immigration officer all but pissed himself when I replied that I did, indeed, have a European passport but that, mercifully, I would only have the bloody thing for about two more years. A lot of French people do not like the EU so watch this space.
