that's basically it, local women have been spoiled, I blame the expensive short time for this

I guess it was bound to happen when the majority of them have little education and self discipline

economic growth is destroying tradition, Thai women were conservative and feminine, now they are becoming entitled, expensive, and monstruous

fook, even the ladyboys are starting to look good and more feminine !!!

A lot of Thai men are becoming more feminized and effete, really trissy some of them.

At the other end of the scale, a lot of Thai blokes have either turned to fat or indulge in 'sports drinks', high protein intake increasing muscle growth but without the necessary work outs and exercise.

To this day I am of the firm opinion that the Average working Thai not involved in the Sex industry is a decent person. If one wants to find the worst of the Thai it's not hard, we all know where they gather. It's always where the foreign filth go to buy their whores. I was with normal decent Thai people for many years before mass tourism took over and the locals sold out to big business. I never complain as it's the way of the world innit. Here in Bangkok I see the same decent people working their stalls making an honest living, mainly the woman. I respect them, they work everyday under sometimes trying conditions. On the other hand down in Pattaya there is always trouble and conflict between the Mongering shit heads and the local filth running the girls. Fook both parties they deserve each other and I piss in their general direction. live in a community surrounded by normal Thais like many farang do and have a happy existence. It all boils down to what sort of person one is. You're either a piece of filth trolling bars in the worst shit holes in Thailand or you're here to live a peaceful existence amounst mainly decent people. All up to you how your experience plays out.
^ Your best and most reasoned post mate IMHO, 100% agree.

Punters staying in Pataya, will have a vastly different experience than someone staying in the relative normalcy of a BKK enclave..

Funny, I used to hate Bangkok (too crowded, chaotic etc) but grew to love it when I moved from Korat to Bangna... like Terry said.. very decent, normal 9-5 office workers, factory workers, etc... nice place Bangna.

With all the negativity, I still have faith in the decency of the majority of Thais...

Work outs / exercise are the only way to increase muscle growth. You could take an entire pharmacy load of steroids and it won't do diddly-squat without working out as well.

    You're talking nonsense again ENT.

^ Agree.. I never wana be that guy.. if I think someone/something is good, irregardless of race, I'll say good... and ditto in reverse...

I've said some shit about Auckland.. like traffic is mad house, or house prices are insane, etc... same with Thailand, if I see something bad - I'll call a spade a spade..

I'd never say all Thais are bad, or all Kiwis are bad... how obnoxious and stupid would I be, to say that lol..

There are some fine, good hearted Thai and Kiwi people... some right arseholes here (and there) too though!

I think we just have to try to remain non-biased... good = good bad = bad...
ahhh fook.. you know what I mean...

Also, some of you guys are married or have Thai gfs... I'd never disrespect them by saying all Thais are this or that... cause I know you have nice, decent ladies.
I feel a bit angry/hurt when people say all Japs are ......... as my wife is Japanese and she's the most kind, adorable person I've ever met... (except me nana!) 555

Work outs / exercise are the only way to increase muscle growth.
    Nonsense.

Muscle growth requires protein and muscle repair and growth occurs while the body's at rest.
Exercise makes use of those muscles, stressing and wearing them out.
It's a cycle of wear, tear and repair and growth.

Without exercise, the excess protein consumed will metabolize into fat.
The rest metabolizes into muscle and other body tissue.

Trying to increase lean muscle mass through exercise without more protein than the minimum (2oz a day/ average male adult) needed for normal activities and repair will result in muscle loss.
Body builders, athletes etc require even more protein otherwise muscle will not grow.

Whey powder is given to under-nourished children and old people (who need even more protein than average) to increase protein intake for building and repairing muscle, and they do very little exercise, yet are able to maintain and grow enough muscle to remain active and functional.

Why do you take whey and creatine if exercise alone is the "only way" to increase muscle growth?
Why take steroids, testosterone and growth hormone supplements if exercise is the only way to build muscle?

Can you see where you've contradicted yourself?

Because it assists in the process. But regardless of what you take you won't gain muscle mass unless you exercise. Simples.

Yes ENT, and water is wet and taking 'sports drinks' won't 'increase muscle growth without the necessary work outs and exercise'.

The greasy finger-print screen phone things have made the biggest change from what I see, everywhere I go I see people, not just Thai, playing with their phones and taking selfies. Facebook and other social media seems to have a big part in this as in "Look at me" where they went what they had for dinner, breakfast, cooked, drank, whatever.
I sometimes wonder if they actually see anything other than themselves or their friends when they go places, this is me at the temple, this is me at the waterfall.

What was it like there ? Dunno I was to busy taking photos of myself to notice.

Other than that things are still the same in the small town, the rubbish truck still arrives at the same time each day, the TOT fellas who live in the Moo Bahn still go to work at the same time, the same people still sell the same things in the market, the same people still nod and smile and say hello.

The rest of the time they're wandering around, glued to their apps, walking in an electronic bubble in case the environment overcomes them, while walking into traffic. Chinese tourists do that a lot.

Cyber lives, electronically controlled media munchers, can't live without their e-music or messaging, avoiding any socially normal one to one communication, like saying g'day on the street to passers by, or excuse me. Go around in gangs, blocking the footpath, granny and all.

Half of them would struggle to write with pen on paper.
