Sustainable shoes, made from eucalyptus trees, or Merino wool, you have your choice. No logos, no flash just comfort.

At least you realize your shoes are 10 years out of date, and perfect for geriatrics.

Those would not fare well around Bangkok's filthy streets. Socal's black ones have the edge there. I've heard good things about the comfort of those Boss trainers too.

How much are those koala extincting shoes AO?

They look a bit too much like Luigi's (high heeled) Skechers for my liking and if you do a google image search on them.....

Part of my impulse buys in the states.

Smokin good deal. Buy 1, get 1 free and I had a online coupon for 25% off one day only sale. Got both of these Asics light comfy walking/jogging shoes for $36.85 (about $18 each)

They'd be even more eco friendly if they combed the koalas that live on the Euca trees and wove their fur in too.

Sticking with Decathlon for trainers for the foreseeable future. Great shoes and value.

No comparison with Asics Gel Kayano for comfort or longevity.

Got a pair of Decathlon but only for cycling, not jogging.

I guess at that price they can't be Kayano, right JP? If they are then what a steal!

No Cyrille, These are the "Gel Contend 6" Nice compromise. But to your point the Kayano is an outstanding shoe. Those are near $100 a pop depending on which model you get.

Usually get mine in Penang. Some decent bargains on last year's models...but no, not $18.

Yeah the $18 was a steal. I should have bought 4 and just kept them in the box but my wife and I loaded up 4 huge suitcases with stuff.

The shoes I have coming are not for jogging they are for two things, comfort and sustainability. I use Nike, Adidas, and Sketchers for my exercise, but a pair only lasts 5-6 months. I still say those Boss shoes are ugly. Perhaps as I am a brand name hater.

Yeah, I was amazed when you posted that you use skechers for jogging.

    They look like complete garbage.

    Get some Asics Gel Kayano.

You should get a couple of years out of them, and they're way more comfortable and supportive.

    Made for runners/joggers, basically.

The Sketchers I bought were crap. The marshmallow soft sole that made them feel like running on, err, marshmallows, eroded away within about 6 weeks.

Still slip 'em on from time to time if hopping on a bike to the 7-11 and too lazy to tie shoelaces mind.

Much better for casual I have found. I was surprised. Nike's 7 months, Addidas 6 months, but Sketchers did not make it till 6 months. Seems like most running shoes if used on concrete will wear out in about 3000 kilometers...

To AO's point, If you jog a lot on pavement and you are the type that has a "pound it" style when they jog no shoe will hold up for very long. They fall apart. I have some Gel Scram Asics that lasted 3 years and I have a few that are there now and still in great shape and I use them a lot.

As for Sketchers, they are typically junk. They do not hold up very well and their price has climb to the point that they are not a value anymore.

I definitely think the Boss shoes look a lot better then the Shoe AO showed albeit I am not fond of the Boss logo all over it but they look comfortable. The AO' posted shoes look way too much like slippers and very "Feminine". But it could be just those shoes.

My big impulse buy this week was really my Xmas gift to myself. I replaced the factory Nav stereo system with the new 10" Android based set up. Honestly the Toyota Nav system is not very good and the way it was laid out, it was cludgy. This is a complete swap out and sits flush and clean. Its Google based so Google Maps works as it should. The voice commands are far superior to the Toyota and it works tethered to my phone and I do not need to pull over to look for directions

Toyota factory set up. Just pop out. I was never fond of the Nav screen sticking out and I never use CD's either.

New system. Clean, lots more power. Probably need to upgrade speakers now.

Now sits flush with dash for a much cleaner look

Android based. Works awesome with my Samsung tele. Now can listen to Spotify playlists and my USB music.

    ^ haha.

^^ looks good, useful, but I'm still liking those shoes from a few posts back.

I'm also fond of Asics, and they can be bought on the net at good prices. I usually go for the lightest running shoes, and find them good to wear out and about, very comfortable. The ones you bought look nice, great price, I'd be happy with either of those (right, I'm going onto ebay to find some deals on those shoes...).
