There's due to be an announcement on Friday from Ripple (XRP) followed by a Q&A.

Previous announcements from this company have been less than exciting and usually led to a price drop, not that that's stopped the rumours. Doing the rounds ATM: listing on Coinbase or adoption by a couple of big name companies: Airbnb/Google/Apple/Amazon/Pronhub? Fuel for the fire.
Some people think it don't, but it be.

actually do you have a work permit

I am pretty Thai laws ask for work permit for engaging in trading activities,

and yes you have to pay tax, bitcoins are regarded as derivatives, and I think they are taxed

Since when have Bitcoin been considered as derivites? It's a crypto currency all governments deny exists as they can't regulate. Some government's are starting to try but as far as I'm aware no government has so far imposed capital gains tax on crypto currencies. It's viewed as gambling which it is IMO.

NZ government has, due to not really knowing what to do, decided to follow the US and Aus by classifying it as capital gains as you would get from stock markets. They are currently revisiting their stance, I don't expect any decisions soon. Japan has been a crypto leader and has recognized it as currency, so not taxable. Other countries will catch up eventually.

At 30% capital gains tax in NZ I don't think I'll be cashing out any gains any time soon to a NZ account.

it's gambling in reality but it's considered an OTC derivative by regulators, therefore highly taxed

an OTC derivative can be any kind of instruments with any kind of agreements attached to them, and bitcoins fit the bill

I can only speak for the UK maybe French law is different but in the UK any gambling wins say on horses or at the casino are not taxable. Crypto is currently viewed the same way now that may change but as I understand it no capital gains tax on selling your house piling into Bitcoin and losing the lot.

Have a look at 'lion' .

    Cryptos that aren't Bitcoin.

I have about 10 of them on bx.in.th in various percentages.

ETH, DAS, XRP and LTC leading the way.

    BTC on the rise again.

    Velly welcome.

I'm gonna put my coins into cold storage in the new year and leave around 100k baht in my bx.in.th wallet split between 10 or so Alts.

Gonna do a one year experiment of messing around with them most days, and see how much I can turn it into over one year of playing around using basic information on daily/weekly values using sites such as:

    https://coincheckup.com/

Will do a '1 yr play/experiment on Alts' thread about it as it's away from Bitcoin. Will post up value info about the main ones I'm playing around with and will see how little money I've left at the end of it.
