Early days yet , lets wait and see what the rate is 3 months down the line , the TD prophets of doom appear to think that todays rate is a permanent fixture .

It was only circa 2 or 3 years ago that sterling was around 46/47. Give it a few days to allow the speculators to make their money, and for the markets to realise that the EU is in much worse shape to weather Brexit, and the pound will be back at 50+.

HSBC are predicting 1.2 pounds to the dollar by the end of the year. That's about 41 baht at the current exchange rate. They don't say whether it will be gradual or sudden.

I'm so glad the Canadian Governor of the BOE has a spare £250b to help the banks survive. Any chance he'll send some to me?
