    Ex wives..

    Gotta love ex’s don’t ‘ya?
My ex …Canadian wife. Departed with near on half a million bucks. A few years later she sends me an email asking me to pay annual time share fees as she had just returned from Arab Emirates to visit my son, she got sick, so spent up a storm and was in financial distress. She was convinced that since at that time I was living solo on my boat I had no expenses. Needless to say what my response was….

Five years ago, I paid my ex a lot more than that, I am now having to go back to court with her again as she is not happy with original settlement and wants more.

Never think that because you have a legally binding agreement that it cannot be challenged. Everything can be.

My first ex wife tried very hard to take me to the cleaners, including trying to take over a trust I had set up for the kids.
After a long bruising battle through the courts and months of no communication, I received a letter from her solicitor, telling me she wished to contact me.
My reply was along the lines of, 'The next time I speak to her will be through a phucking medium'.

    Ain't gone the marriage route,

Jackyboy told me it was not a good idea because his ex katoey wife gained full custody of his tent.

Hey, but jokes aside I have a story.

My lovely mum worked all her life and died a hideous death by cancer at 62.

My old man then took up with a whore and cohabited with her. Fookin tosser.

So when the old man died 5 years later the family fortune ended up in the whores hands.

I had a 30 year old box trailer that the old man had built when I was 14. It was registered in his name.

So the old slut sent me a lawyers letter saying if it was not returned she would see me in court .

Fookin thing was worth about 35 cents.

Gota laugh Eh, I kept the fuker of course.

The moral of the story is to never rely on the family fortune and make sure you earn your own money like I have done.

Most men are too much of a social animal to stay with one person for life. Took me a while to work out that I'm not a bastard, just a slow learner when it comes to relationships.
Happiest man I know is a Merkin pal. His motto is why buy when you can rent?
Women are like houses. If you can't be arsed with the chase just get a long term rental handbag like Terry.

Cor feel for you there mate ,, worst nightmare

Don't know where your from or indeed divorced ,, but here in the UK there is such a thing as a clean break settlement . Neither party can come back for a penny whatever the circumstances after divorce absolute is granted .

I think it might be a little more costly at the outset , but has proved invaluable for me .

For the 30 years we were together I held the financial reigns and we never had one money problem ,, she is a spend spend character , I have heard from my son she has now managed to fritter away the huge settlement she had and now has money problems , I can imagine she would be back if she could , but the safe is padlocked down here and the key is missing sorry .

I for my part have had some very good fortune and investments in the last 8 years and now despite only getting 45% of our total amount at divorce I am now actually better off financially 8 years down the line .

Having said all that despite the awful hatred and vitriol she carries everyday inside her for me , ( IF ) I ever came into a life changing amount I would pass money via my son to take care of her .

I carry no hatred for her .
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs

Fkn hell, I was lucky, what a lucky escape I had around My first divorce from an English wench, I was piss poor, you guys must be minted, She knew that I was suffering so much from our split up, I had to go shack up with some single parent Mother, just to survive, while they milk your bleeding heart.
    Same tricks everywhere.

    Urm,

I'm very happy with my present handbag Chas but I have been happy with most of my handbags until the relationship went tits up.

I'm not quite sure if I would describe my current handbag as a " Long term rental though "

    But whatever.

I more describe it as, I'm in for the long haul as long as its still working.

If not, Its all over red rover. I'll go my own way.

No guarantees in this life huh. ?

    No offense taken Chas,

I reckon if the woman viewed us men as a rental proposition as well it would be far game all round.

I actually believe that to say that a person will be with the same person to the end of their life is unnatural and not at all realistic.

Its only good while its good and then better to move on.

Some go the distance happily and many live in emotional pain as they can't bare to hunt out a new compatible partner.

Others come To Thailand and Buy one.

    Not me though, I'm renting.

Not sure if it would have been based on the date of our legal separation or actual divorce date but my JN ex-wife waived between 37-45% of my pension because she assumed I would retire right at 20 and get no further promotions. I still remember her saying, "I don't want any of your little retirement".

    I got very lucky.
