I know that Australia has a difference between violent/serious crimes, and non-violent/minor crimes. Non-violent/minor is the same as that, those that involved violence or are classed as serious crimes require an escort all the way to the person's passport country.


Getting deported while showing a ticket sounds kinda pussy-ish.

I was....err I know a guy that had to stay handcuffed while in the airport (the immigration escorts allowed him to drink copious amounts of beer in the airport lounge while waiting for the flight to be called) then was decuffed in the boarding tunnel to the plane. He was definitely a non violent offender, just terminally stupid.
