My all-time top five are as follows;

1. Dirtydog
2. Socal
3. Smeg
4. The gent
5. Forgotten his nick but some guy who lived up in the boonies with a young son he adored and a grasping Thai wife he despised. He ranted and raved in every post about life in the village. Well and truly banned and all posts removed. More is the pity. The man had a sledgehammer wit and I appreciated it.

I used to get a laugh out of Blackgang's posts - knew a lot of folks like him.

TheGent's stilted use of English is also generally worthy of a chuckle.

Dropped in on Blackgang a couple of times on bike runs he got a kick out of the bikes roaring up the street and scarying the nobours, was really a pretty decent guy even if he didn't come off as one in some of his post.

That's what I had heard about Kev as well from those long-timers that seemed to know his real side - not his forum persona.

Miggins. That was the guy. Hahaha. Serious or not, he had the ability to do some quality ranting.

I worked at a council recycling site in Essex 20 years ago in my summer uni vacation and there was a guy, in his early sixties, who worked there and was just like Miggins.

Essex born and bred, he was called Bill and he would rant and rave all day long about anyone and anything. Bloody entertaining, although I learned a couple of years later that he had died of a massive heart attack. No surprise there given that his blood pressure was probably through the roof everyday. He was a cross between Viz's Cockney Wanker and Harry Enfield's righteous brother 'Oi Edmonds...NOOOOooooooo!'

Morris Minors, The British Porn Industry, Refuse truck drivers, his wife, co-workers, people from Southend, The council, students, customers, they all made him seeth and foam at the mouth. F*** and C*** expletives were used every other word, but with great effect and feeling.

Miggins made me remember Bill and the times I spent witnessing him in mid rant with me trying not to piss myself laughing.
