    Exploring, been anywhere interesting today?

Drove to a town about 230 km's north of Kalgoorlie yestie (Saturday) for a music concert of a couple of great Aussie artists (Leonora was the town). Anyway about half way is a ghost town called Menzies and 50 km's west down a dirt track is a place called Lake Ballard. http://www.menzies.wa.gov.au/tourism...e_ballard.html

This place was amazing and got me thinking of a new thread were perhaps people can post interesting pics that they've taken around the traps

    Here's a few

damn, I just went for a stroll in Vauxhall market, but did not take my camera

I bought some wonderful cheeses off the out-of-date cheese man

    real Cheddar, Stilton and Parmesan

The EU makes everyone put "sell by" dates on all food. Mature cheese, if kept properly, lasts a lot longer than any date they have to attach
    I have reported your post

i went to changi airport to send a friend off.

the only thing i found interesting was that they charged me $5 for a coke at the airport restaurant. I should have gone to Burger King and paid $6 for a meal including a coke double the size.

My wife and I took the freshly polished motor down to Rayong for the day. We spent a few hours investigating business opportunities and divising alternate business plans for the ill managed Thai ventures we saw.

Another awesome day, A mate that I work with and myself got a personal tour of an underground nickel mine about 45 km's south of Kalgoorlie. It produces some of the highest grade nickel in West Aus. The mine has about 120 km of shafts and currently is around 115 metres vertically down

Anyway here's the pics, sorry for the quality (infact a lot didn't turnout) but after all I was nearly a mile down and it bloody dark!

Me and me mate on top

    Entrance, Otter Juan

There's air lines pump fresh air to were the guys are working

    Can you see the nickel

A Jumbo working at the bottom, it takes about 40 mins to drive here if we didn't have to keep stopping for the underground dump trucks coming in and out

Btw the bloke who owned the mine took us on the tour, this is an extract from mining news online

"MINCOR Resources will add the Otter Juan nickel mine to its list of Kambalda-based nickel operations after today announcing its intention to purchase private outfit Goldfields Mine Management for $68.5 million cash."
