Why do all ThaiVisa threads end in a slanging match?

There is a 3 page thread on TV about some poor 16-year old kid riding a motorcy killed by a Russian woman driver who has since fled the country.

Most of the responses seems to be from budding lawyers or people finding fault with Thai attidude, Thai actions, Thai law or lack of.

So why do all TV threads end in a slanging match. well..

I think that people on TV at least the ones who actually live here came here because they thought it was a well organized , sunny country with happy smiling faces, beaches and nice roads. have married a Thai women and bought her a house are now dissillutioned but stuck here. So criticize all the stuff they are dissillutioned about.

TD members for the most part are more grounded. Maybe they came here for the same reasons but have realized there are things they can change and things they can't or don't wish to and are smart enough to know the difference.

Why isn't this thread degenerating into a massive shitfest?.

Why didn't it start as one?

Being a regular on TV forum (sorry for that admission - nobody is perfect), I note with increasing concern that whatever new thread is started, it always ends in a 'you are a dick' or 'my dick is bigger than yours' post and the mods have to close the thread.

Could you guide me through how things are different here?

Building and Food threads seems to do OK. Maybe we're all Talking Heads fans?
