Choose a book for the smallest room.

When my sister resettled in Lincolnshire she had the luxury of two toilets. The guest closet had a small library in there, with well chosen material for a brief sojourn.
If you had a choice of literature, which books would you find suitable for such occasions?

I am currently re- reading Bill Bryson; Made in America. A good anthology to dip into in a spare moment. for such occcasions?
    What books would you recommend?

pretty sure I read that in the toilet, a few of his others too!

Jeremy Clarksons books are a good turnout read, a few pages per chapter is just about right before the legs go numb!

I was thinking of The Bible, although I would probably be inclined to throw the whole book in at once.

What is it with such cultural circles that find it necessary to have reading material when on the crapper?? A psychological fitting or what...?

A copy of razzle and a tub of lard.

However, when we have company, books of funny quotations are often interesting and joke books.

^Especially if they are in a foreign language. I have so far managed to avoid brushing my teeth with pile ointment.
Betty why are you being so anal? Anytime spent on the crapper is wasted unless you have a good read.
