I dare say many of you have seen this Video , but as far as I am aware its not been on TD ,for me its powerful viewing to say the least and being I am not an Scottish, but have a few friends that are , I suppose ones opinion is based on your political affiliations and of course if you do not care to comment that,s OK by me , personally I stay neutral on the article but would like to read others opinion of it if any

Was a bit surprised that he didn't have the English crucifying him at the end though.

I reckon an aussie actor, born in the US, pretending to be an ancient rebellious scottish peer in a hollywood movie says it all to me, whatever 'it' is.
Incidentally, the caledonian peerage of the time did not daub themselves in wold, but I suppose hollywood is allowed it's dramatic characterisations.

March 1 st 1328 relinquishing all English claims to Scotland thus granting ourselves total Freedom and independence.
Along comes King James V1 of Scotland and 1 of England and unites us in the act of union. March 24 th 1603 after he ascended and took over the English throne.
Now Salmond comes along and wants independence again.
You would think that after 686 years we would of been able to make our bloody minds up.

Great film , great actors, and must have watched in at least 5 times , sadly factually its a total crock of shit , of course we all know that there was a William Wallace ,but Even Mel Gibson himself said and I quote "the movie was "historical fantasy" and should not be taken as an accurate portrayal of Wallace's life" all the glaring inaccuracies are here in this article BraveHeart – The 10 historical inaccuracies you need to know before watching the movie | Hande's Blog ,

The 10 historical inaccuracies were probably written by a very boring English critic
who didn't like the film anyway.
Let's not let a few insignificant and laughable points spoil what was and still is a great movie.

Yeah it was great Movie without any doubt whatsoever , however Gibson himself said it was "historical fantasy" and much of the "evidence" was provided by historians , like the painted faces and the wearing of the Kilt etc etc, which for me in no way spoiled the actual entertainment Value , I remember watching a fab war movie were it showed the Brave American Navy capturing the the"Enigma" coding machine from a stricken German Sub, you as a seafaring man will know that fact wise it was total BS ,BTW my grandmother on my fathers side was Scottish and I think originally came from Oban .

No arguments there Jaime ,maybe I should have started a new thread, some thing like "Is he right or wrong MK 3 " but being I am so stupid as other people (not you) have often informed me so I just went along with this one ,so far I have not read anything that brings the guys opinions into disrepute , which is the reason why I posted it , never mind I live in hope!
