^ 3.8% is perfect for a few.
I spent the last six weeks, dry, offshore, swearing to myself that I wouldn't slip back into my old ways.
I've done pretty well for three days but we had rain in Korat today and the afternoon school run took me 2 hours 20 minutes. Korat traffic becomes grid-locked in the rain and Ive never really understood why.
This destroyed my usual happy demeanor and I took a half bottle of Ya Dong off the gardener to relax me while I cooked.

I am stepping it up a smidge today at 4.6% with this stolid, solid fruity and fulsome ale from the Cotswolds

Her late great and most glorious Maj is showing these Nazi wenches and concubines how one deals with Fritz and his evil national socialist agenda John Wick style.
I don't understand the appeal of the John Wick movies but I fired up IV tonight since the interwebs is so excited about it all
I do like when the dogs bite the baddies in the ballbag

A nice cocktail in the pool watching the sun set.
^ Very artistic, Stumpy!
^^^ I like an Aberfeldy also, BC. Another great thing is that it comes in those stubby bottles which I can hide in the bottom of my carry-on back-pack and have the bottle of Highland Park in my duty free bag!
But no such luxuries for me tonight. The Kommandant has gone to yet another funeral today so I'm having a relaxing Stella with Hong Thong chaser (not in view) while cooking and wasting time on TD. The daughter and dogs are making full use of the temporary relaxation in zee rules that vould normally be obeyed at all costs.
I still get a kick out of seeing myself on the internet!

^ Time to strip and oil those chairs, they are letting the side down :(
^ :) i'm sure we'll get treated to some action shots in the union jack boxers
It is a fine Scotch as is Highland Park. I have even been to the distiller and the surrounding area, Aberfeldy, Loch Tay, Kenmore etc is really nice if anyone would like to go to Scotland.
Nothing wrong with a Stella and Hongers chaser, it definitely does the job and leaves a warmth on those rainy SEA days!
It's Panzer inspection Sat'day this weekend and when it comes to Panzer inspections there is no better qualified Panzer General than Generaloberst Heinz Guderian
Panzer commander of the lightning invasion of Poland in 1939 and the blitzkrieg rampage through the Ardennes in 1940 that outflanked the francs and skittled the allies sending Tommy running for his boats at Dunkirk

I happen to know that the fearsome Generaloberst is partial to a drop of the Glenlivet so this helped things to go smoothly at the parade
I am loving the crash-damage detailing on the track fenders of this monster 70 tonne Konigstiger. Looks like there were a few lady tank commanders serving in the Panzer divisions who were not afraid to lay down their no-claims bonuses in the cause of das Vaterland.

I'm loving the shiny peace makers 30?, the Glen 12, which, seems to be a rather old 12 year old...said Saville to the police, the 'panza kind' sitting on the gun and the stern look on the face of Herr Generaloberst's.
555 I don't think Wonka ever forgave me for that.
Thanks for bringing that up actually, I was trying to remember what periods I was around Teak, I know 2010/11 and then 2013/15, pretty sure I was engaged once more before I lost access to that account.
I normally drink Washington State Chardonnay, but this California wine was so good I had to buy a case! Low in sulfites too which is a plus.
One of the negatives of moving back to Thailand is access to decent wines. Can't drink much else these days.

As luck would have it, I stopped by an out of the way Makro. Went by the beer section and they had that seasonal Hazy IPA i like. in fact 8 on the shelf and 2 cases in inventory. Picked it all up.

After my relaxed time in the private pool I headed on down to the "Pool Bar" for happy hour and picked me up 2 Negroni's. Buy 1 and get 1 free. :)
A pre match ale.

Cheese of abundant variety also notably cheaper than thailand,
This mournful figure has got his sheepskin jacket on for good reason...
It was well parky outside in Stalingrad in January 1943 so GeneralFeldMarschall Friedrich Paulus has poured himself a bavarian Weihenstephaner Weissbier from the 'Worlds oldest Brewery' (according to the bottle) to contemplate his prickly position as he sits in his 6th Army command bunker completely surrounded by the Red Army and now with no hope of rescue as the German positions in the Western Steppe begin to crumble like one of PAGs tummy-rumbling puddings

Hitler only promoted Paulus to GeneralFeldMarschall once his position was lost. This was done with the expectation that he would commit suicide to avoid capture.
But he didn't... Hitler's plan to force Paulus' hand (with the Degen hanging by his waist - which is crafted from steel with detailed engravings on this spanky 1/6 figure) and save the honour of the Reich, backfired when Paulus instead chose to become the first German Field Marshall ever to surrender in history.
Weihenstephaner was a wiessbier winner though at the 2016 World Beer Cup where it lifted the gold medal for this Hefe Weissbier
Nice cloudy honey hue with the usual heady floral weizen aroma
