^ Is that guy on the coffee can backing one out?
Thought I would mix it up with a contemporary flute after breaking in my coupes
I am trying to take a more disciplined approach to drinking. I let things slip in February and March and only had 2 glasses of wine for the duration but I am trying to make up for it in April.

A pair of King Tigers aka KonigsTiger/Tiger II rolled into the forest this arvo so I shepherded them into the kitchen
They were a late war iteration of the infamous Tiger I which features in many films such as Fury
A true monster weighing in at 70 tonnes, 16 tonnes more than the Tiger I and 15 tonnes more than Russia's largest contemporary tank the T-14 Armata at the rear
It first saw service during the Allied landings at Normandy
A refreshing change from the Samuel Smith brewery..

Name that pub Hal?
Stayed off the piss last night so I wouldn’t arrive home fucked up.
Fatal right turn into the Miracle Lounge at DMK with. 3 hour layover.
Saul Good Man.
I think I’m Quizmaster tonight.
Even got a discount for myself and a work pal cos I have a Krungsri credit card. 550b each.
They still had breakfast out when we arrived, so had some rice soup then made myself up some sausage and egg mini nap sliders.
3 gin Bloody Mary’s to get a start on my 5 a day then 3 beers with whisky chasers.
Judge me all you like but I’ve been wide awake since 2am so it’s basically 5pm for me.
1 Post-beach-run rehydration tapwater
2 Balter XPA for me - brewed locally on the Gold Coast (citrussy hoppy)
3 Stone and Wood Pacific Ale for my Spanish tutor from Chile - brewed 70km down the coast at Byron Bay in NSW (tropical fruits, flowers)

Las dos son cervezas muy deliciosas
They look like decent beers
Fancied trying a new single malt today. My sister in law & husband don’t drink so there unsurprisingly there was a lack of whiskey glasses. But I’m sure the taste will be the same. I also have not seen an 8 year old whiskey before, usually they come in 12 or 18 (and sometimes 10).
the verdict, quite ok but if I see the 12 or 18 next time I’ll try that instead. It’s a deep fruity whiskey with notes of peach and chocolate. No hint of smoke or peat. Attachment 101017
^That is the same drop that my aussie BBQ lady guest brought as a gift last year. It is a nifty nip, tae be shure.
She gave me the 12 and I am drinking it from my grandad's whisky glass instead of my grandmother's sherry glass tonight to toast the arrival of a very manly guest in the form of a tiny Vietnam war parachute regiment special operations 1/6 scale Davis Knowlton
Attachment 101040
He is packing a miniature arsenal that I hope the real DK would approve of including the de rigeur M16 + a Mossberg M500 military pump action shotgun plus Davis's favourite personal security operations handgun the 0.45 Colt M1911 and a grenade launcher for good measure
Attachment 101041
He comes complete with tiny purple and yellow smoke cannisters to let close air support know where to drop more ammo when he runs out
Attachment 101042
He even comes with a pair of the jungle footprint boots which piqued my interest in the Vietnam war museum on my Vietnam trip

Looks like the Nazis have been blasted away by US of A firepower and the hussies saved from a life of debauchery...
Well Got hammered by a nice rain and windstorm late yesterday. Made a mess of the place but nice cool off albeit short lived. Today back to 102F

Cleaned up the "Ponderosa" and enjoying me a nice ice cold one.
Visiting my SIL. She doesn't have any beer glasses.

^^^Davis is indeed bristling with merkin firepower Joe and much needed backup for our hero with his little Enfield MkII
On the jock-juice tonight to watch the hit and miss Triangle of Sadness
Attachment 101092
The other big tank of late war German armoured divisions was the Panther
Weighing in at 45 tonnes it was drafted in for Operation Citadel to defend against the advancing Russian hordes in 1943
Backed up on tonights foray by 3 tank destroyers Jagpanzer38 + 2 JagdpanzerIV variants
Having a couple of gins with my hi-shine parade boots on for Anzac day this evening
Attachment 101146
And a time to look forward to future plans for the defence of Australia with a study of a nuclear submarine.
This is the George Washington which was the first sub to field the famous Polaris missile, which are hidden inside the orange vertical launch tubes in the centre
The control room is under the conning tower and has a tiny little Gene Hackman and Denzel Washington
The mess is down one level and the bunks are under that
The secret 'need-to-know' nuclear western wizardry is all happening in the reactor and engine rooms on the left
And if you get woken in your bunk by a loud bang that is one of the little white torpedoes getting fired from its launch tube on the right at a nasty Chinese Kilo Class
^No privates on parade at the Anzac day memorial session out of respect
I did overdo the gin a bit though so today I am on the Guarana V which contains Taurine, like Red Bull, which inflatable-boat-lady from 2020 told me is a protein extract from bulls testicles.
I not sure what effect gargling it will have on my sexuality. It could go either way by the sounds of it.
Attachment 101150
I should have put on my Bombardier hat
And 1 more shot was the end of the gin so I moved swiftly on to the rather gay raspberry vodka to watch The Magic Flute, a new movie version of Mozart's Opera

This new arrival to the stable is Israel's main battle tank the Merkava
I always think the Merkava looks like what a tank would look like if it had been designed by Lamborghini
It has been in service since the 1970s but has gone through many extensive technical updates with the Merkava IV entering service in 2023
Attachment 101213 Asahi. As usual. Its about the best beer ive found for value, ( if you can call oz prices value) 500ml can 5% theres plenty good beer but im im a kee nee oao farang

^^ lining the stomach? :gay:
It is a good start to the weekend when you find your favourite liqueur on sale
Attachment 101219
And it only got better with a special gaylords edition of my favourite amber nectar, the little creatures pale ale

^^My only complaint about my rather gay raspberry Smirnoff on Thursday was that it did not come in a fetching raspberry colour
That Strawberry Continental has caught my eye now with its garish and lurid hue so I might have to head back to the bottle shop
My new GP Dr from Cuba, came well prepared to our Sunday afternoon consultation (conducted partly in Spanish) by the lake
Attachment 101512
A bottle of Campo Viejo Rioja which I had not tasted in many's the long year
Attachment 101513
I brought a bottle of bubbles but the Rioja was the hands down winner
The ducks were a bucolic addition to the Nigel-esque Sunday arvo scene
Attachment 101514
We did however get caught in an unforecast thunderstorm later, but a boy scout comes prepared with a large picnic/beach umbrella
Attachment 101515
The ducks took to the water after the storm had retreated to give us a bewitching lavender sunset as the light faded
Attachment 101516
Very nice Loops!
Its getting cold here and i quite like tawny port and today i decided to go get some. 2L cask for $9.00, apparently its ok to use in the cooking to, we will see if theres any left to find out.
