I do the ice in mugs with water. Never beer. But I do understand why one would add ice to some beers here. Dilutes the awful taste and can stretch out a beer for a bit longer with the ice melting.
It's funny because until I arrived here I had never seen anyone ever put ice in a beer. The first time a gal brought me a little ice bucket to the table with a Leo I thought. Great., so I moved the ice around and put the bottle in it to keep it cool. Got some funny stares.
I prefer my beer warm.
Had a nice refreshing can of 7UP before, hit the spot better than any beer....well almost :)
Yesterday afternoon enjoyed this import from UK.

Picked up a case of the IPA's and if you buy 12, you get a nice glass to enjoy them in. Took a nice refreshing dip in the pool and enjoyed some music.
^ Someone's nicked your hammock.
^^ What's your pool temp like at the moment Stumpy? Ours is staying a lot cooler than normal so far this year.
I only bring that one out if guests come by. I have my hammock underneath by the fridge and TV... Priorities ya know. :)
Water is 80F currently. Jacuzzi about the same. Its still cool in the mornings at 60F or so. I am running the pump in the early morning from 2 am to 5 am to circulate the cooler water.
80F... you Americans!
How does that compare to 28C? :)
Take no notice Stumpy, All Brits tell the temperature in Fahrenheit when the 2 days of Summer come.:)

Cracked open a very nice Angel Envy Rye. Excellent nose. Caramel, Charred Oak. 100 Proof. Definitely not for those who like fruit ciders... :)
Looks like a nice drop JP, what did it taste like?
I concur with the fruity ciders:)
I had a few Leos with my Welsh mate tonight... but it's always nice to have a solitary nightcap once you get home to contemplate matters.
I'll be off to Tromso in a week or so and after seven months in Isaan it'll be a shock to the system.
The slightly uneasy pack situation plays on my mind. As does the daughter's education, as does the survival of my new Rosemary plants. Oh, I hope the wife will be OK as well.
Anyway, when I mentioned that I didn't get a single pressie for my B'day this week I lied a little bit... trying to play on the sympathy card. I apologise for that... I did in fact treat myself to a rare bottle of Ya Dong to mark the occasion.

A pina co-orange juice-a along the beach to celebrate getting me nails done.
Didn't get one for the kid because they were 150thb.
'You're allergic to oranges' really is a great lime.
The MYSTERY gift sounds just fine, thanks Edmond!
You'll have to pay a bit more for postage this time though because I only have a week.
Oi! Whaddya call your very own birthday thread!

A nice cool down beverage after the temp dropped below 100. :)
My view was not quite as salubrious, I didn't bother with a glass, and the temp was much lower (just had a nice little thunder storm, around 79)

^ The boat has a gym and I left a bag on it last year.
I'm trying to de-clutter my life of numbers so don't do all of this 'target weight', 'number of steps', 'how many calories' bollox but would expect to lose 4 to 6kg in a 4 week trip.
Do you mean you won't be joining Ed, interminably logging his workouts?
While Marilyn keeps us up to date on what exercise she's thinking of doing?
:D
Looks like we're all drinking a big glass of cheerful, happiness tonight.
Bottom's up! :yup:
An empty bag of donuts?

And that's his towel in Korat.
^ He's getting on top of that fungal ass crack now then
^ A rare compliment... I think. But yes, I've been 'itch free' for some time now.
I've always been one to clear out the old stock before I go away to work. This may seem a bit pedantic but it's just the way I am.

My last drink for a few weeks. I no longer drink before or on flights to work ... tomorrow I will awake (hopefully) with my head in work mode.
I will really miss this girl.

Have a safe and fruitful trip mate. :)
I look forward to you adding to your surstromming thread.
Well 100 degrees already at 11:30a. Groundskeeper things and watering done. Went to ice factory about 5 minutes from our house and picked up some ice blocks and big cubed ice for the mist machines and the cool fan for wife and dogs. Beer 30
