We have a cold Winter's night in Korat right now... 15 degrees forecast tonight and today it didn't get over 25 (in the shade).

The wife was wrapped up like an Eskimo and the Gardener looked as though he was about to conquer the North Pole, so I decided a change was in order. I haven't drunk Speckled Hen many years... with a 'proper' whisky chaser of course. This could become a new habit.

I may be a convert. I used to drink this stuff many years ago and maybe I should go back to quality over quantity?

It was minus 8 here yesterday morning when I was defrosting the car. We are expecting a warm spell of 10 degrees starting from tomorrow...T- shirt weather:)

I don't drink sugar beers nor ciders. Abbey or Pale Ale's, Hef's, lagers and IPAs. Never seen Mendy pour one. 139 bht is an avg price here for most imported beers. I wish there were more available here in the 7 to 8% abv. I'd much prefer to drink less beer yet enjoy the pleasantly anesthesized feeling. La Chouffe has become a recent favorite of mine but it's 165bht. It's 8% abv and very nice Belgian style pale ale.
