Did a shopping run yesterday, and uncannily just beat the Chonburi alcohol ban. (Rayong banned booze until 15th).
Got in a case of Beer Lao White. Chilled overnight, they are currently tasting rather splendid on this sweltering afternoon.

The dogs were well behaved, mine would have brought the boules back.
Dry night last night on account of hammering it for a few weeks.
Beer.
Now that COVID is in the city I am thinking there will be a booze ban on the horizon. Tomorrow's task will be to buy some gin, single malt and vodka and perhaps a bottle of brandy. That should do the job.
Yesterday, the Lao government sneakily announced a ban on alcohol at 11 am in the morning, but backdated to 6 am that morning! I rushed out of my house in a cold sweat, ran to the nearby ma and pop shop, and meekily asked for 8 small bottles of Beer Lao (one for each day of lock-down). The shopkeeper was clearly not in full support of the Communist party of Laos and their alcohol ban, and sold me the booze in a discrete bag, before shutting up shop and going home in a huff (that's a mood, not a type of local transportation).

The local mood here has soured in hours here. No anger at expats this time, just frustration with the world in general. I'm looking forward to some drinks over the weekend and editing video lessons like a dork.
Well, every day really I guess. A couple of small beers with a glass of brandy on the side whilst watching TV. This is from last night, halfway through La Casa De Papel (Money Heist) season 2.

Money Heist is tjhe dogs bollix, crack on the professor.
I'm always amazed at the amount of alcohol people drink on TD . . . I might have a glass of wine/sake at dinner or a glass/bottle of Pernod/Corona on a sunny afternoon . . . thats it. Certainly not a daily thing.
I'm with her....

Why do you have to have to bring your shit into every thread? How you've not been jailed or banned again is surprising

For me I drink because quite frankly I enjoy the taste. Do I need it every day, Naaah. But I do enjoy a fine spirit at the end of a day. Quite relaxing and I have reached an age where I earned it. I do know a few however that drink 10 to 15 beers a day or drink out of boredom nearly all day and it has had an adverse impact on their lives, both mentally and physically
IMO many people find ways to relax, whatever works. I also know a few that thought that running marathons, competing in triathlons, rock climbing etc was their ticket to relaxing. I see them now and one has had a hip replacement, another both knees are shot and the rock climber fell some years back and broke his back and is in constant pain.
I think I'd much prefer a drink.....:)
You are only kidding yourself JP:)
