Love these Muslim holidays
Nah, our pool, no Muslims around . . . my hard-drinking days are long gone . . . I cringe when I think of the crap I got myself into with expense accounts working in Asia and Europe ($6000 entertainment bar tab as an example) . . . added to which I need soooo much longer to recover nowadays . . .
The odd small bottle of sake or Champagne every now and then is ok . . . beer just screws me up now and forget about any of the hard stuff
Getting old is a curse . . . 50 and booze-filled binges are long gone
https://teakdoor.com/images/imported/2008/09/409.jpg and https://teakdoor.com/images/imported/2008/10/350.jpg . . . . to . . . https://teakdoor.com/images/imported/2008/09/301.jpg
Actually I was more referring to the fact that it's a holiday and we can lounge around by the pool rather than work.
Oh, right . . . I see. Disregard what I wrote. I can down the old lager with the best of them, I can! https://teakdoor.com/images/imported/2014/07/2730.jpg
Yes, the pool. Holidays. Right.
I'm back Wednesday with three others, two Malays and one Indian. The Malays are original KL-ians, so no balik kampung.
Two are back on Thursday and the rest on Monday . . .
Officially only today and tomorrow are public holidays
Same here. (2 days holiday) but mostly everyone takes a week to ten days off.
Qatar is the same . . . ten days . . . Iran similar and Morocco pretty much also
So, very little for me to do.
Planning our Chrissie holidays in Japan . . . :) but . . . https://teakdoor.com/images/imported/2014/07/2749.jpg

They really do taste like the king of Beers, after being used to Tiger, Carlsberg, Singha, Chang, Leo et al
The woodchips and rice really do add a certain je ne sais quoi...Quote:
