Think they're just having a laugh. They certainly look to be having a better time of it than most of the cynical bitter miserable pricks posting on here anyway.

    Ooch..

If someone got them a link to this thread I don't think they would enjoy the rest of their BBK experience.

Love the muppet sniper bait option

If a few farangs where slotted in 2010 as well as the hundreds of Thais, thing would be different now.....

Wonder if they got confused and, when they heard about the possibility of water cannons, thought it was Songkran on KSR?

WHAT DEMOCRACY are you talking about? Or are you talking about the dictatorship that the man in Dubai would like to burden Thailand with?
The Yingluck government certainly doesn't know the meaning of the word
    DEMOCRACY.

Populist policies . . . compare it with tax breaks in the western nations which costs the state more than the rice scheme has cost?

Suppose away because you look the fool for doing so

    .
It is one of the main points, to me. Simple fact is that PT (in what ever current form) is better at getting voters to think that there is more in it for them, than if the other party gets in. It is the whole basis of how modern "democracies" are run. "Vote for me, you will be quids in".

However, in the west that is normally (normally, not always!) coupled with a vague concept of fiscal responsibility, and it assumes that the basic voter can count. PT currently promise jam today and jam tomorrow - while looting the coffers bare, to a degree that makes what went before it look like kiddies knicking coins from the corner shop....

They were the only party I saw that came to the village and held a kind of fun day for the natives. They didn't push their political views but won the hearts and minds of simple folk with simple things like food for the adults and treats for the kids.

It is and Thailand is no different - yet we expect them to be different when we should expect them to be far worse . . . possibly a la the PIs

I would disagree, especially if one looks at the most publicised recent elections - in the US. Your average voter is quite ignorant of numbers as he doesn't have to work them out for himself, instead he is besieged by the medial feeding him/her what their slant happens to be

If I want to get personal? How stupid are you, JJ? Your initial reply to my post contained an insult . . . and you are now telling me that I am getting personal?

You really are the same as Fluke and piwanoi.

    Amazing, simply amazing

You make an amateurish mistake that just because I am explaining something that I must, therefore, believe in what I am explaining.

Again, this makes you look foolish.

So, go ahead and throw insults to then cry in despair at being rebuked . . .

Numpty? Really? Are you now a mini-Aberlour?

    US 106%
No need to even mention Greece, Portugal, Spain and a host of other western counties.
