    Mae Phim

I needed to have some me time this holiday. Preferably away from the missus (unfortunately not happening) her family (not happening) and conversing with others (so far so good).

I thought Rayong way would be a good choice and it was an easy drive from Bang Kapi to here.

Get here hotel is nice, beach is over the road, inlaws are in separate rooms and I can ignore them. Hopefully the missus wil go stay with them and leave me alone for a few days.

Mae Phim (pim) is bloody full of foreigners though. Everything I read before said it was a Thai area, lots of Thai style restuarants and beach seats.

    Bloody wall to wall scandinavians.

Restaurants full of blond haired blue eyed people.

Quite impressed with the place though. I was here ten years ago and there was fuck all and shite. Now it's nicer.

Sounds perfect. Did you take a Scandanavian phrase book?

The norwegian flag that I saw flying as I drove in should have sent warning signals to me.

Staying at the Bali Vila, surprisingly nice and cheap, decent pizza as well.

Bali Resort - lovely pizza great service.

    Beer lao lovely suprirse.

Mojitos on happy hour until 8pm 120B even more pleasant surprise.

Feeling a bit cuntfaced and supervising a toddler watching some wierd korean cartoon about the nativity play and korea having freedom of religion, probably be ok if she was korean rather than just another shade of yellow.

Just now it's full of scandinavians and families. A few backpackers, but not many.

I'm told that whole villages come here from Norway on holiday together.

Are you sure it's the same place in Rayong?
