The more ink you have the more of an individual you are
What utter bilge, these days it signifies nothing more than a being a blind slave to a rapidly dating fashion.

Where is the individualism in following the other millions of fashion slaves to join the queue outside the tattoo shop, sorry, studio.

    Idiot.

^ The exact same could be said for everything else. Everybody wore the same bell bottomed jeans when they were in fashion, now lots of youngsters all wear skinny jeans.

So basically you are condemning any kind kind of following of fashion? Jesus, I'd love to see what you wear when you go out for the night if it's something that isn't remotely fashionable and nobody else wears.

You just sound like the stereo typical old man at odds wit a world he no longer recognises. Quite sad really.

I commended a young lad who signed my ticket today , natural skin from his finger tips up to his shoulders .

I said well done you ,,, you stand out in a crowd , you are individual , you have no need to try to make yourself look like all the other numpties .

I reckon in 5 years time in the UK it will be a rare sight to see anyone without tatts.

I was driving along this morn eating an egg custard when I caught a glance of some munta wobbling along with the tops of her tattooed jugs spilling out ,, yuk ! I lobbed the remainder of me egg custard out me window
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs

That's true mate but it doesn't change the principle in the slightest. Tattoos whether permanent or not are a fashion that over 33% of people between the ages of 18-40 have. Taxexile's theory about them being bad because so many people have them that they are no longer individual is highly flawed. The same could be said for any kind of trend or fashion in society.

It all comes down to what kind of people have them. Taxexile has decide that only X Y & Z people have tattoos and this is 100% factually inaccurate. He has convinced himself of this because it backs up and justifies his his negative and highly subjective opinions of them.

The reality is that X Y and Z people do have them but so do A B C & D and probably in equal numbers. It is a fact in modern society that bankers, lawyers, nurses have tattoos. Policeman are covered in them, and they wear short sleeve shirts in summer. Is taxexile going to try and tell us that the police are low life criminals?

Even the prime ministers wife who couldn't be more prim and proper if she tried has one, what more could you possibly need to know than that to realise the diversity in the kind of people that have tattoos and how they are thought of (or not really thought of at all) in modern society.

In my opinion taxexile knows full well that he's wrong, he's just not man enough to hold his hands up and admit it. He hates them with a passion and has tried to bend the truth to justify his reasons. He's prepared to blatantly ignore and refuse to accept the facts that clearly show his theory to be nonsense. He doesn't like them, good for him, but his reasons for not liking them are fabricated and factually incorrect, thus proving that the way he feels about them is highly illogical and irrational.

Or hes just fuckin' with ya.

Taxexile's theory about them being bad because so many people have them that they are no longer individual is highly flawed. The same could be said for any kind of trend or fashion in society.

Someone made the ridiculous claim that tattoos are indicative of individualism, whereas in fact because they are so "common" they are more indicative of the herdlike follow my leader mentality of that most unindividual of beasts, the sheep.

Individualists are more likely to dictate and lead fashion, sensibly jumping ship and moving on to something else before saturation occurs, but with a tattoo, jumping ship is not an option, like the hotel california, you can check in, but you cant check out, and that is why the judgement and intelligence of the inked must always be suspect and they will be treated with a certain amount of suspicion, whether warranted or not.

Abelour, like the rest of the easily impressed, will always slavishly follow these superficial fashions, hoping to bask in the reflected glory he thinks these grotesque mutilations bring as he fires off inane insults about the older and wiser members like a child flicking snot across the classroom.

The uninked, quietly and unobtrusively going about their business, know different.

    We have nothing to prove.

I don't think so. You're so knacker deep in this forum malarkey jeff that you don't seem to realise that that would make him an even bigger kunt anyway. So either way, makes no odds to me.

Members plural? I'm talking to you mate. There's lots of people on this forum that are getting on, but most of them aren't retarded like yourself. It has nothing to do with you being old, it's the fact that you are old and completely out of touch with reality. I fear for you as you get older, people this out of touch now will normally be in a corner dribbling and sitting in their own piss before they know it.

You haven't got a chip on your shoulder it's a fucking potato. You so clearly do have something to prove . What sane normal and well balanced person would claim to be a better person than 35% of all 16-40 year olds in the UK, just because they had tattoos. Insecure and inadequate much?

You're either a troll which means you're a pointless cretin, or you're a silly old buffoon with his head so far up his own arse it's unreal. Take your pick old boy.

That is the problem, Tax. You don't. I have never in my life heard a tattooed person denigrating one that has no ink. Not once. It's those of you that have no ink that spread the scorn, the bile and the hate. If you all "quietly and unobtrusively went about" your business there would be no thread

Dont know what type of "educated" people you associate with but my social circles are full of successful educated people with tattoos. It has become quite normal for educated professionals here particularly on the west coast to be tattooed.

In fact around here the people that discriminate against people with tattoos tend to be the uneducated right wing retard type.

In theory....I guess we could include [into the discussion] body jewellry, yes?

Wedding bands. Forced upon common fashion or just for show?
...or everyday jewellry, for whatever reasons people partake....??

    Extreme body piercings.....visable or not?
    Same issues as tattoos?

I've got no problem with tats either but the full-arm ones chicks are getting these days puts me off big-time.

You see a girl (Thai) here in Thailand with tats, you kinda got an idea where she's from.

Yes Snubby, that's so true. I used to go out with a Theater nurse and many of the young doctors where covered in Tatts.

Very intelligent people who where into body art, the thing was they spent big money to get seriously quality work done and not the basic street shit one sees on so many of the muppets.

You would be surprised what sort of recreational drugs they where into as well.

But getting back onto the female angle. I offer up the Tattoo artist " Kat Vondee."

One seriously fuking hot bitch, beautiful girl that has covered her body head to toe in friggin Tatts.

Granted some of the work is brilliant but fuk me EH, what a fuking gong show her body looks like now and she's getting older.

Cant beat a beautiful woman with a cracking body that has no shit tatts on it.
