Simon 43,
You do of course realise that sexual intercourse outside marriage is a very serious offence in Laos. I even heard of the police raiding the homes of married expats!
I would say the teachers at your school are trying to set you up to get caught and locked up.
Just sayin...
Ethnically a lot of wives in Thailand are Lao
Better to think inside the pub, than outside the box?
I apologize if any offence was caused. unless it was intended.
You people, you think I know feck nothing; I tell you: I know feck all
Those who cannot change their mind, cannot change anything.
What nice friends and colleagues you have Simon. All mine want to do is drag me to the "Strip" in Ban Chang!
yes..............you have to be really sneaky when your shaggin'.Originally Posted by VocalNeal
Yes. They probably realize he is a shit head of school and want rid. Laos law dictates that there is a 3 month probation period before a WP is issued. If he has surpassed this time limit they will set him up so they don't have to pay an additional 1 month salary to add to moneys owed upon his dismissal.Originally Posted by VocalNeal

Simon, if you keep this up you will be the most efficient hotel builder in SE Asia.
Lighten up! And understand also when I am cracking jokes! (Are you American???)Simon, not really an appropriate post for the head of a school..
I am also legally divorced and quite entitled to seek a new partner. I'm also fully aware of the Lao law regarding sex outside marriage.
Did I say that I was going to break the law?
Is making jokes a forbidden occupation for headmasters?
One reason why my school has happy staff and happy students is because of the informal (but efficient) way in which I run the place.
I have a 12-month WP and 12-month residence permit and 12-month B2 business visa, and a 12-month permit to crack jokes and write sexual innuendos on web-sites......
Simon
Groping women when you're old is fine - everyone thinks you're senile
Headteachers I have worked for are either efficient and don't smile, or they smile a lot to cover up their inefficiencies. I am a former headteacher and I used to smile an awful lot.
I suppose you didn't get an interview for the jobs you applied to at Harrow, NIST, Bangkok Patana etc then Simon?Originally Posted by Simon43

Sorry Simon, but the law clearly states: Three strikes and you're OUT! So that said, three ex-wives prove beyond any reasonable doubt that women and you are forbidden fruit. Stick with Ladyboys as Betty has suggested every so subtly by exposing his most recent conquest with big hands and flat webbed feet like a duck.Originally Posted by Simon43
BTW, being headmaster of the school you've pictured is a bit like being headmaster at the nuclear site of Bikini Atoll after the bombs were dropped. (American humor)
I didn't apply to any of those schools - I have no desire to live and work in Bangkok.I suppose you didn't get an interview for the jobs you applied to at Harrow, NIST, Bangkok Patana etc then Simon?
I was working in Myanmar last year and applied to Myanmar International School and International School Myanmar (confusing names!). Got firm job offers from both of them at a higher salary than my previous Myanmar job. I turned them both down AND did not renew my existing contract because - as you can read on previous threads - I was unsuccessful in getting my radio ham licence in Myanmar.
As for working in Thailand, the only place i'd consider is in Phuket, and I am not qualified for BIS (need British QTS). I took the Lao job because it sounded very interesting and a good challenge - teaching/managing in Bangkok is hardly difficult now, is it?
As for working in many countries previously, remember that I was working as a software/electronics contractor. for 15 years. So I went where the job was, whether it was for 3 months or 3 years.
I think of Phuket as my home now. But it is a bit spoilt by the presence of my ex's, which is why I like to get as far away from them now and then
So, approximately how much of the world is "spoilt" by the presence of 48 (and counting) ex wives?Originally Posted by Simon43
Let's see, all of the UK, especially Buckinghamshire, most of Thailand, including Issan and Bangkok and Phuket when the ex's are in residence, south Thailand also (I had another mad GF there). So, approximately how much of the world is "spoilt" by the presence of 48 (and counting) ex wives?
I suppose the ideal location for me to live is somewhere with hot weather and hot women and absolutely no opportunities to build a hotel.
A volcanic ridge sounds good.
