You make it sound like you have missed out on so much fun because you have a partner and child!
Did you not know how to have fun in your late teens right through your twenties/thirties?
There are lots who take part in risky sports even though they have a family, climbers, motorsport racers even winter sports like Bobsleigh and downhill skies etc.
If you have always wanted to try base jumping but never had the bottle, its not really a dream but more of a regret.
Life is for living not regretting!

^ It's pointless you even commenting. You don't understand me, people like you never could.
None of the things you have mentioned are remotely as dangerous as base jumping, except climbing and that's only if it's free climbing, so again pointless mentioning them.
I missed out on nothing before I had a family what so ever, that doesn't mean a different kind of life like Terrys can't be admired.
It has nothing to do with bottle you silly little man. How could someone who puts his own children's lives at risk on a motorbike possibly understand why I wouldn't base jump now that I have a family.![]()

Ok point taken you have always dreamed about base jumping but never got around to fulfilling that simple dream!
Its certainly not a sport that would require a vast fortune.
You probably saw the same program as me which followed a base jumper who was a humble roofer!
Base jumping can be as safe if not safer than the sports I give an example of.
Obviously the less high the building gives you less time to open your chute!
Choose a high building and lower the risk considerably.
Jumping off of extremely high buildings, poses about the same risk that some take when practicing conventional parachuting.
Maybe a bungee jump could suffice in your case.
base jumping ...
rather have a go at this .
What's the song playing, anyone ?

Good stuff Blue!
I do hope that feller is already a Father,is bollocks won,t take to much of that![]()

You need to do hundreds of sky dives before any base instructor would even entertain you. You could be jumping from a building 3 times the height of the worlds tallest building and it would still be 20 times more dangerous than skydiving. You know nothing dave.
The point is Dave I think you are a complete cretin. You are nothing like me, your wife is nothing like my wife, my son will never ever ever be anything like your children, you disagree with everything I say and I think that everything that comes from your mouth is pikey, short man syndrome shite.
So the point is, why the fuck bother replying to my posts? Everybody knows you disagree with everything I write so why bother writing it? It's a waste of time and bandwidth.
The thing is with you gipsy dave, your height and intellect match perfectly, the only problem is, you're not 14 anymore.![]()

Dreams, Reality, Nightmares?
Back in 1992 I was a outdoor instructor, I did some voluntary work for a bunch of UK climbers in the Indian Himalayas! this got me 6500mtr (not the sumit) up the worlds number 4. But up there would dream I hope the military are not down there waiting? I had no permit. Then I used the time for one year traveling India, on the cheep, about £1000 inc air fairs and visas.
Some years later I got board and started to free climb! fell one day and broke both legs! then followed nightmares of falling, This did not deter me, I teamed up with my old collage mate (younger then me) and climbed most areas in the UK and France where we both worked. He moved to Brazil with his new wife and just lately, suddenly he died! now I no longer climb. Still needed the adrenaline rush, so took up motobike racing, Ducati now for sale on Ebay.
The death of my freind hit me and I realized life is too short for some. Now I dream of taking life slower and trying to enjoy it to the full.
Nice Thread crepitas
I`ve done many things people dream of doing and dream of doing things many have done. The one that seems to occupy my mind most these days, is having the financial security to be able to tell my employers to fek off and be able to live the quiet life for a few years. Failing all that, I wouldnt mind doing Simon Reeves job.
I aint superstitious, but I know when somethings wrong
I`ve been dragging my heels with a bitch called hope
Let the undercurrent drag me along.

Definitely the stuff dreams are made of...Originally Posted by astasinim

I realized in my early years that if I wanted to retire when I was 55 I would need to concentrate on owning my own house and securing my financial future.
I've balanced a working life to secure my future with a free life of traveling to balance out the responsibility of holding down the one job for 34 years.
Times come to cut loose.
Anyway the one dream I have is to one day be able to own a dog. I love dogs but can never have one as I'm always travelling.
Maybe one day EH. That's all I really want . Dont think it will ever happen as my body corporate do not allow dogs where I live.
Maybe my next girlfriend will have a dog ? Hey there's a good thing to put on my Profile.
Girl must have a dog.![]()

Licking and caressing luscious thighs...
Feeling horny today, RS??? A bit worrying really... Can you be very clear that these are: 1) ladies; 2) over 16/18/21 years old depending where you are posting from/imagining to.
Yep, Im of similar thinking Terry. Bought a house with my ex and lost that. Started again and bought on my own with only 12 years remaining on the mortgage. I was supposed to retire in 12 years also, with a nice lump sum and a reasonable pension. Now this latest bunch of shisters have told me, Ive got to pay more into my pension (fair enough), work 8 years longer and get less (fok that). Time to look at pulling out of the pension me thinks. Anyone got a bridge for sale.
At least I`ve always managed to travel.

I've always fancied being able to fly a chopper, that'd be cool as fuck.![]()
