Is an erection important in the general scheme of things?

I think that if I was obliged to lose one of my appetites, then I would forego the sense of taste or hearing before that of touch and sexual arousement. Sight? No.

I find lovers balls more of a problem. Need emptying regularly to keep the pain away. Not a problem since I moved here, even at my advanced age.
