I cannot believe how much shit is in the TEAKDOOR corridors these days.

DD should employ 2 mods (day and night shift) just to clean it up.

I have given up even reporting it now as nothing gets done about it. I even offered to lend a hand but again nothing. The site is full of the shit and it can't be good for traffic as it is.

Is the spam caused by bots, or is it somebody targeting the site?

As there is supposed to be a Captcha system in place when you sign up to stop Bots I presume it is targeted. It needs to be sorted though as it will drive people away after a while.

I've given up as well. I've reported dozens over the past few days - all totally ignored.

It is making the whole 'Teakdoor' experience tedious for me as I browse the forum by hitting the 'New Posts' tab. Full of spam.

I have also stopped bothering to report it as it doesn't seem to have any effect. I am online most of the day most days and I would be happy to sit here and hit 'delete' on the spam if need be but either way something defiantly needs to be done as it's getting too much now.

More spam than content. Thats a hard pill to swallow.

I don't know, but one of my sites is being hacked/attacked by the same thing

I'd be guessing mate.

Perhaps 10 and yes they'd be on different time zones.

Right now, I'd venture to suggest he needs double that number.

for instance the "Threads in Forum : How to use stuff on the board" forum only has 3 mods.

Obviously not enough, particularly if one goes away on holiday etc.

Generally spam refers to something that resembles a readable message. As your description so helpfully describes.

This is raw.

Point is, bots are used, as regards to spam, to distribute something useful to the advertiser. This doesn't seem to me to have any useful purpose other than irritating people. It's not an attack that would have any serious impact on the server or site. Get where I'm going? Or should I draw a map.

When Mid posts something other than actual News I wonder if it is actually him. Sometimes he seems a bit like a auto-bot or whatever the spam things are.
