As far as I'm aware they're all pretty obsessed with marriage, much more than westerners.

I'm not sure if this is just Thai society and would be the same with a Thai-Thai couple, or it's just Thai securing that piece of the western wealth pie.

Could you have a long term relationship with a Thai woman, move in with her, have a nice relationship but always have that get out of jail card in your back pocket?
