True, but most fruit here tastes terrible. It's too hot in most of Thailand to grow 'proper' fruit.

    You're joking eh?

Some of the Thai fruit makes the crap that is common in the west look and taste very beige to say the least.

Ah, but English fruit has a distinction which is unwatched, my dear boy. Sadly it tends to wilt in the heat.

Pfft. Pineapples, bananas, rambutan, guava, mango here are as tasty as you'd get anywhere.

    Stick to pies.

Definitely better at jealousy and clinging.

    Brand awareness and ensuing gullibility.

Bananas are nice (although many varieties here are crap), but I'd take a crispy English apple over the Chinky/NZ rubbish we get here, or a juicy sweet pear, or a ripe peach dribbling nectar down your chin or some fresh grapes with a nice cheese and port. Thai fruit doesn't come close to western stuff.

there are other countries, which also have comparatively high prices for food, but then you get good quality... not that fuck...

Fuck me, you are indeed an inbred from the foggy isles.

BTW, an Otago grown crispy apple makes yours taste like flour.Unlike you, I've tasted both.

Getting little things fixed for next to nothing. Your glasses, need a screw 10 baht, shoes have a problem 20-200 baht, need a new key ground out for next to nothing. Fan dead, redo the dynamo an off it goes for a few more years. The little things.

Unlike NZ, England has more than one variety of apple. Unless you're saying you've tasted all 1000+ varieties?

you really are full of shite

What you should have said is

"I've only ever tried one variety of New Zealand apple, because I'm a myopic pom"

Washing and roning clothes. My wife makes my clothes look perfect. I thought I was a snazzy dresser back home, but compared to they way I look when I step out now, I looked like a soup sandwich.

House decorating, cleaning, cooking (farang food and Thai), photography, drawing, keeping stuff looking new for years etc

Have you seen how cool some of the Thais can whip up a cartoon?

I just thought of one more - I am amazed at how neat and organized the wife can pack a suitcase for a trip.
