Fray Bentos used to make curries, maybe they still do. The curries were dried and I always used to pretend that I was a mountaineer surviving on iron-rations when I prepared and ate them. This is true. I was quite old at the time, well over thirty...a bit old to be climbing mountains.

Not sure about Fray Bentos pies. I will have a look out for them today when I'm exploring the Mid-Atlantic Ridge in my submarine....Pretending is fun.

I don't get why people hate the west like that.
Did it really make people so miserable?

Or is it that they are a lizard and need tropical heat to warm the blood?
Or is it simply that they have found ways to exploit Thailand that they couldn't get away with in the west?

^or is it that they don't see why they should be paying 40% tax for a country where 3 under 20s can be gunned down in a week. Hell, that's good even in Thailand

i quite like the west. its just that the hookers are not so nice or cheap.

    or so readily available.

if you are alone and feeling horny of a night at home then the only option is a trip to the all night garage for a copy of Men Only.

on a more "serious" note - the only thing I miss from the UK (I know, not the West) is their sense of humor. I have never met anyone who can take the piss out themselves better.

Absolutely for sure, we could never so it in Southern Africa (Zambia - the yarps may think they can )
