I think it is because those on the left get tired of constantly having to correct the misinformation and propaganda that is constantly and willingly poured into the right wing mind. Those on the right are far more easily manipulated and controlled by dogma.

A great example would be the incidents of domestic terrorism in the US in recent years. In just about every incident the perpetrators are all right wing lunatics motivated by some type of dogma. Religion, constitution (which most of them know almost nothing about) and guns.
