This thread is about beer. Specifically, wheatbeer.

I went to Tops today, and as the missus won't let me out due to my bad behaviour, I was very happily surprised by the selection of 5 or 6 or maybe even 7 different wheat beers - what I like when I'm not on Guinness.

I have tried a Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier. It's very nice (but I know that from drinking it at the Pintsman - where the draft Weihenstephaner weissbier is better, imho).

I have tried a Weihenstepaner Kristall Weissbier, and it is as my pessimistic 50% thought it might be; a bit poofish and bland (I was hoping it was like a 70's classic Emmannuelle, Sylvia Krystal going at it with a 19 year old French girl, but alas not). Not impressed, but better than Thaibeers, obviously!

Now, I am on a Krombacher Weizen (noticeable darker than the other 2 and the 2 other varieties I have waiting [yes, I've tried them all before...]), and... it's okay. Drinkable, easily - let me check the %... this one is 5.3%, but feels even lighter. The first 2 were 5.4% which feels about right (.51L bottles, fyi). The Weihenstepaner Hefe Weissber (WHW - fukin bored of typing that out, I can tell you!) is better, imo - clearly so.

I have 2 other varieties in the fridge: the standard Pauliner and the other one that's around that I can't actually remember the name of, and I can't be bothered to go downstairs to the fridge to check... I remember them both being decent, nearly as good as the WHW (not WWE or WWF or any other gay american 'sport'! fuk off fuker if you watch that homoerotica!).

After that, cause I got 1 bottle of these varities, I will finish the other 3 bottles of WHW (I wanted to spend only 1000 baht, and thought I remembered that this was the one to get, but also remembered that I always got too pissed to remember...).

BTW, I had a nice invite from a sexy student today, to go away with her for a week to Nepal - should I take up on the offer? She is Nepalese, and I've never been to Nepal (20k flight from Bangkok, affordable...).
