that was a 'steve gerrard' move.
So the 'great history and sporting tradition' of Manchester United managed to retain Rooney. By offering more money.
Makes you wonder why this was even in the news.
who's the whore now united?Originally Posted by blue

Good luck to him Im sure the majority of us would do exactly the same in his position
He pissed on every bodies bonfire there didnt he?
Funniest thing i've heard in ages!!
Now what price on him getting a hatrick at the weekend?
I think Rooney scored a hat trick already- against United.
They tried to play hard ball, he called their bluff- and they caved in.
as I said before, both sides were just posturing - I am sure both knew he would never leave
The best posturing was by Alex, crying about how the club was like a father to Wayne and he couldn't understand it etc etc
Wayne didn't do much, it was his agent in charge
by the way, you say they caved in...did the boy get the wages he demanded?
I disagree, I think it was another Ferguson master stroke.
Wayne makes his demands and decides he wants to leave which could have dragged on for ages and ended up making things worse and actually ended up in him leaving, which he clearly didn't want to do.
Ferguson and the club make it public and within 48 hours the boy is signed. Another Ferguson master stroke of management.
Rooney shit himself when the public turned against him and in no way got what he was asking for.
Who knows they could sell him now for a lot of money
Exactly, rooney could have alked away from that contract easily with no transfer fee.
Now they own his ass again......
In 18 months he could have walked for 5 million quid
I dont know if it still stands Cocka Cola wanted to drop him also
No, he could have walked for 5 million quid now.....he had 18 months on the deal left when he could have walked for nowt.... that was my understanding anyway
Think FR could be on the right track with this one. No transfer window at the moment, so an extension of his current contract will guarantee Man U will receive an excellent fee should any club enquire as to availabilty later.
Could be he wife wants away from the area (and that pink tiled swimming pool) in order to save the marriage.
Rotherham or Accrington?
Hernandez has filled his spot quite well and they can do without him.
Classic.
classic indeed ! good find
nice to know theres clever people out there , to make stuff like that
