I bet he wishes they played American Football in Saudi Arabia

Two-time Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes has signed a new contract with the Kansas City Chiefs that will see him earn $210.6 million (£170m) over the next four years

Harry please dont try to get involved too much with American sports especially the financial side. Not an NFL player one would like to play in Saudi so that is just silly. Secondly Mahomes did not sign a new contract he had his old 10 year 450 million dollar contract restructured which is quite common in American sport for reasons you are going to have to Google.

Yeah. Mahomes did it to reduce some cap to allow them to sign talent. He will get every penny he earns. Mahomes is definitely a unique QB.

AO you should try and be a bit less insular and learn a bit about world sport.

I was merely pointing out that a 31-year-old football player coming to the end of his career is earning $80m a year in Saudi Arabia compared to Patrick's paltry $53m.

Do you get the point now?

Perhaps my maths is rusty, but he went from $45m a year to $53m a year and he did it to help the team?

I see my beloved 49ers put the Giants to the sword. Good game, good game.

Meanwhile.... that Dolphins result stands out.

    OK I'm missing something.

The salary cap is an aggregate amount the team can pay the players, right?

He's just agreed to an $8m a year pay rise and you're saying that "creates salary cap space"?

    How does that work?

The Seahawks sure put the smackdown on the Giants last night. Looks like we may have another Richard Sherman in our first round pick Devon Witherspoon, he was all over the field, had two sacks and a pick six.

Let's be honest AO. Neither team has been to the big dance since mid 90s. Long season. Lots of football left. Niners kicked the Cowboys ass. It was a rinse and repeat of last meeting. Penalties, poor offensive execution and TOs. As a Cowboy fan, Prescott is another Romo. Wins a lot games but can't win when it matters. I say benchhim and let Trey start.

You have been putting to much time into the Cowboys. Niners lost the 2020 Super bowl to the Chiefs after being up 20 to 10 to start the 4th. We collapsed and Mahomes took the Chiefs all the way.

    Final

    1 2 3 4 T
    SF 3 7 10 0 20
    KC 7 3 0 21 31

Don't matter AO. SF 5 Superbowl wins. Dallas 5 wins. Until one has 6, it's all just chit chat banter. Simple as that. The regular season sets the stage. Niner look great.. no argument. Still 12 games left. We will see

Cowboys got completely trashed. Looked awful. I was embarrassed as a fan. No excuses. But it is just one game Norts. Niners look unstoppable. Let's see who wins Super Bowl 6 first. I'd say the same about either team. Even if the Cowboys would have won, it really means squat in the big picture. The goal is to play in the big Sombrero for any team. Anything short of that is disappointing.

Glad I am only a fan. Cheap seats are fun.

I went to a pre season game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Oilers in 93.

The Cowboys had Troy Aikman playing for them, but it was all lost on me.

The stuff before the game with everyone eating and drinking outside was really enjoyable and I remember thinking that I wished we did this in England before football games instead of booting each other in the head.

My cousin told me the Oilers don't exist anymore.

They don't moved to Nashville and renamed Tennessee Titans.
