Watching minus commentary (don't ask), following also on BBC Sport:

    Video Assistant Referee
    England 0-0 Nigeria
Oh Lauren, what have you done?!
The referee is coming to the monitor to review Lauren James walking across the back of her fallen opponent.
She's going to be sent off here.

    RED CARD
    England 0-0 Nigeria
Yep. Lauren James show of petulance results in her seeing red.
It is a massive, massive moment in this tie.

    No doubt it was deliberate.

Now they've got to play extra time with ten. Big ask.

Best chance is hanging on and getting to penalties.

There has been some dodgy VAR decisions in the matches I've seen and that penalty one is amongst them.

The ones the chinkies got away with were in the realm of the absurd.

Well congratulations to the Lionesses for keeping their nerve.

I was going to say they'll miss James going forward but to be honest she was so shit today it might be a blessing in disguise. She clearly doesn't like being, er, woman-marked.

To be honest, the way that England played, and James being both petulant and vindictive, I found myself hoping for a Nigeria victory (well, plus a couple of them looked like previous Lagos girlfriends....). England should be embarrassed.

James goes from hero to villain and England were lucky to survive long enough to get to penalties.

Yeah England did a bit of hair pulling too. Wasn't a good look.

Nigeria number 2 was decent and played for England until the senior squad where she changed because of her grandads Lagos roots.

    Good pens by England though.

    I just turned this on.

I have never seen ladies playing football before.

It feels initially strange and unnatural but what a chassis on that Fowler girl playing for the Matilda's...

Her bottom was literally the first thing I saw and it's peachy proportions are burned into my retinas!

The divinely proportioned bottom of Fowler is instrumental in setting up Australia's opener...

Sensational scenes at the all hands group hug afterwards!

    indeed.

there's an awful lot to like about womens football.

the buttocks, the legs ... especially when they fall over and the shorts ride up to the crotch, and the possibility of a glimpse of protruding nipple pressing on the fabric of a pulled and tightened shirt.

That look of concentration, bordering on a bewildered determination akin to a first encounter with a Looper fish pie surprise.

for a long while now the england womens team have been getting "bigged up", i would say unnecessarily, by the media, and especially the wet knickered women football pundits of the bbc for whom no adjective is superlative enough when describing the skills, heroics and mental strengths of the "lionesses", and judging by the comments made by the players themselves in interviews, they have bought into this ridiculous hype hook line and sinker.

haiti and nigeria showed them up, and nigeria should have won todays game. its about time these women, like the americans, so convinced as they are of their own infallibility were toppled of the pedestal they think they own in order to bring back some of the humility and modesty that has sadly gone awol recently.

i will cry no tears should they be dumped in the next round.

    ^Lol!

Fowler again with the decisive cross in to set up number 2

Henceforth to be known as St Mary of the blessed bottom!

Sam Kerr whips her shirt off on the sidelines to get stripped for a possible tournament debut for the feted frontman-lady
