Rodrigo has jumped the sinking Leeds ship and joined a Qatari club (one in Qatar, that is).

^ I'm not sure what that term means, Cyrille, but when I was 15, despite being pretty bad at football, I was asked into Spurs to trial - I was nowhere near good enough for the top level, but perhaps with lots of hard work could have played in the Championship or League 1? Nowadays, the level is so much higher than a young me transported to this time probably could never make it to League 2 or even Wrexham (I played for an under 11s county team against Wrexham once, pre-season on their stadium pitch - t'was a 1-1 draw).

A mate of my dad was in the Millwall yoof team with Teddy Sheringham, said he was nothing special at all, he just developed this awareness to always be in the right place at the right time. 20 years later and he had banked 20 million odd quid and was banging Jordan while she was still hot. Not that the latter was particularly difficult to do, by all accounts.

Oh dear, the laydees were a bit rough.

The Republic of Ireland's behind-closed-doors Women's World Cup warm-up match against Colombia was called off after just 20 minutes for being "overly physical".
The PA news agency understands the decision was made following a number of rough challenges in Friday's contest.

After the abandoned game in Brisbane, Ireland midfielder Denise O'Sullivan was taken to hospital with a bang to the shin - with the results of her scan due to be discovered on Saturday morning.

The Women's World Cup starts tomorrow.

    How exciting.

New Zealand take on Norway at 14:00, and Australia take on Rep. of Ireland at 17:00.

Something to watch if the cricket is rained off.

I don't know but I'll be cheering on Croatia even if they're not in it.

The Lord gives Arsenal the lead.

Arsenal's garish yellow zebra strip is quite fetching.

It would appear tubby has told his MLS charges to kick out a bit, two yellows for the seppos already.

    2-0 to the yellow zebras.

    Saka is terrifying them.

Gives it to Troussard who belts one in from the edge of the box.

Four yellows to the hapless seppos. Not even half time yet.

Tubby should have had another plan.

Martinelli, Havertz and Odegaard in for Saka, Ramsdale and Nketiah.

My assessment of MLS as being League 1 standard is about right. Bottom half.

Another Handball, extremely obvious, but the ref decides the hapless "All Stars" are being punished enough.

Six more Yellow Zebra subs coming on, including Rice and Timber.

By the way, make a note of that site, the stream is great quality and hasn't blipped once.

They are furiously wanking over Messi's debut in a couple of days.

It took the League One side 86 minutes to get a shot on target. And it failed.

An unmarked Havertz pokes in a fifth.

Chelsea made easy work of Wrexham 5-0.

Wrexham would probably beat the MLS "All Stars".

I don't think they'll give Rooney the "All Stars" manager's job again.
