Some proper football to get us through the pre-season.

Colombia have just beaten Argentina 2-0. Apart from a spell at the start of both halves for 10 minutes or so, Colombia were all over them and fully deserved their win.

Too many dirty blues in that Argentinian side anyway.

Paraguay 2-2 Qatar (that famous South American nation) with 15 to go.

Qatar have come back from 2 down and equalised with a well worked goal although the Paraguay defending left a little to be desired.

Uruguay 3-0 Ecuador at HT.

Uruguay have a population of just 3.5 million yet have 2 World Cup wins to their name.

Meanwhile, a similar sized country, Ireland, have a million more people but their greatest achievements have been driving a New Zealand pony-tailed Rainman to the edge of sanity and the best tarmacked drives you'll ever see from "just a little bit left over from the last job."

3-1 Brazil at the end. Jesus sent off for a 2nd yellow, which was debatable, but the result was never really in doubt.

Not much to threaten European teams at the next WC on the basis of this tournament.
