All drug tests at World Cup negative’- FIFA releases clean doping report

"World football governing body FIFA has announced that all drug tests taken at the World Cup in Russia did not reveal any presence of any banned substances. “The analyses of all doping tests conducted before and during the competition have yielded negative results,” FIFA said in a statement on Thursday.

The testing program, described as “the largest ever conducted for a World Cup”, involved more than 1,500 players whom FIFA marked as potential World Cup participants during the qualifying campaign.

Every World Cup player underwent doping tests before the competition with further unannounced systematic tests being conducted after the games and on non-match days.

The organization said that every player from the four semi-finalist nations has been tested an average 4.41 times since January, with some of them facing eight doping control procedures.

All samples collected at the tournament were reported to be analysed at WADA-accredited laboratories abroad.

The Russian squad faced controversy in the buildup to their home World Cup after the former head of Moscow anti-doping laboratory, Grigory Rodchenkov, alleged that team members had benefitted from performance-enhancing drugs.

Two weeks ago, FIFA rejected claims by UK tabloid the Mail on Sunday that it had covered up cases of doping by Russian footballers."

Is there no chatter ahead of tonight's game?

    Where are all the ...

    What my Bookie reckons ...

Football is not coming home, nor is Belgium’s ‘golden generation’ going to break it’s major tournament drought.
That being said, this is one last chance to put on a show on the world stage.

Traditionally, the 3rd place playoff has been one of the most entertaining games of the World Cup.

Both sides have nothing to lose and it is the reason why teams look to attack and entertain.
Over 2.5 goals is 10-0 dating back to 1978 with 4 or more goals in 6 of the last 10 playoff matches.

Pay any attention to Belgium’s 1-0 win in the group stage.
Both sides rested players and England succeeded in their attempt to lose the game.
This fixture will be significantly different.

All the stars will be on show and will have something to prove.
Lukaku will try to run down Kane for the Golden Boot while Hazard and De Bruyne will run riot in midfield.
England were outplayed by the Croatian midfield and Belgium will do exactly the same.

Me? I have no idea ... just a gut feeling of a high scoring game 3, maybe 4 + goals

Lots of English goals and shots of the female Croatian supporters please
Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago ...

I mean I've concluded you're an utter arsehole too, but...it's a subjective thing.

^^The most damning response possible to that is probably that I've forgotten which dragonfly you are.

Tis a pity one cannot comment on a game of football highlighting an unexpected event 4 minutes into the game, for those without a TV or BB service on tonight's game without some pricks personal comment.

    Sad buggers, some here.

    The Garden of Eden

It was a waffle of 2 halves

We all fnd our own level from the slums of Cockbang to the monger-sewers of Pattaya.

England have succeeded in losing the only game in the FIFA tournament where the entry test is to be a loser, could it be tripier, trip ear or eveny trippy the nimber of muff, dives poor passes and excuses

Southgate was dignified but depsite all the talent in the Premiership the talent is foreign,

Congratulations to Harry for being the best forecaster and wooden spooning for Jebus and Cy.

Hazards, dire while cheeky Loftoss-Bleak should retire to teh last refuge of the otally Juan kerrs , moderation,Trashford, was no match for de brain and Luke Caca.

You no wen u been Kaned,Pickford made a few saves to prevent utter humiliation and was probably best of the poms, Hazard man of the match.

Sorry for spolier alert I'm in another time zone where the lighting is on the wail and t'interwebs so fast I can see groan men cry.

    How's the hurling going anyway?

Not certain England's problem is principally 'fowards' btw.

More the lack of a playmaker.
