Pickford's value has gone up a bit. What a great performance.

Sweden were pretty damn poor. England were good. Would have been good to see Rashford on for Sterling for the last 30 mins+. Rashford could be a vital impact sub with 20 mins to go in the next game (or two)

This has to be one of the most mediocre WCs I can recall but certainly England have benefited from a fluke draw that has gifted them an opposition more redolent of the Championship league. So far they've only played one decent team and lost to them, a result that has seen them progress to a semi-final,and maybe even to the final, almost by default.

Bizarre really, but at least one hopes justice will be done and either Belgium or France will win - the real final will be their semi-final. England are mundane in comparison and watching their play one could be forgiven thinking the game was called "headball".

Pretty amazing that one of the last 'golden generations' didn't get as far - Cole, Terry, Ferdinand, Neville, Gerrard, Lampard, Scholes, Beckham, Owen..... Heskey. ( )
