I was talking about more Cuban players. With the trade ban lifted it'll probably be easier for the MLB to get Cuban players to the US. A Cuban MLB would be interesting though. Maybe start with a minor league team.Originally Posted by SKkin

Wow, really great series and an absolutely epic final game. I miss watching baseball, this series made me realize that. I grew up in Chicago, then later moved within 15 minutes of where the Cubs held spring training when I was ten. Enough autographs to fill multiple books from so many Cubs players from the Mark Grace/Ryne Sandberg era, hundreds and hundreds of 'em easily. I enjoyed seeing the curse lifted!
Yeah, no kidding. I honestly started thinking, this curse has got to be fucking real because something clearly has ahold of the manager's mind and is making terrible decisions for him lolOriginally Posted by UrbanMan
There's precedent...the Orioles and the Cuba National team played two games in 1999. They split that series. Birds won game one 3 - 2, Cuba won the second game 12 - 6.Originally Posted by fred flintstone
There's two MLB teams in Canada, why not one from Cuba?
Yeah I remember him watching them every chance he had. I tripped and knocked over his spit can one day while he was watching the Injuns. Not good!Originally Posted by Storekeeper
A Cuban Team in the MLB is no problem.
Who would be the team's owner that would facilitate the buy into the League (only if and whenever the Cuban Govt would allow a private franchise to move forward).
There ya go...that's what it's all about. But the Castro hand is about played out.Originally Posted by PeeCoffee

Obviously they would not support a team in Havana under Cuban Govt.
The Cubano Americano would like to pick and choose Cuban players to come into Liga de Beisbol Americano Mejor.
I just had a brainstorm! How about Mark Cuban?Originally Posted by PeeCoffee
I still love watching Mr. Baseball. Killer movie, Selleck's 'stache was absolutely rocking in that flick.
They won the World Baseball Classic in 2004 and 2009. They are a legit baseball power. Since 2004 the US has placed only in fourth.Originally Posted by Storekeeper

My bad...there used to be two teams in Canada. I haven't been following sports at all in the last decade. But I was thinking of the Blue Jays and the Montreal Expos when I said two.Originally Posted by BaitongBoy

Just as classy as the two in the background.
Apparently, the name of this bar is No Sleeves.
Except Cuba is very poor, and you need a population with money to buy game tickets.Originally Posted by PeeCoffee
