that seems to work now
^^ I thought something would happen when I clicked on that post.
On reflection, I've actually spent years hoping that some point would spring forth from reading your posts.
I feel duty bound to point out that I was referring to post 502 there.
There could be so much futility to come that it seems only fair to be specific.

poo makes his move while pettingfield marshall takes the bottom spot with a midway point score of ...0....
just watched the man u game - can't believe how piss poor valencia was again. i honestly can't remember a player being picked consistently for one of the top teams who is so shockingly bad.
every time he got the ball man u's options diminished.
reckon they should go with young on the left, jimmy jazz on the right and offload valencia, nani and fat andy in january.

says quite a bit that januzai is already by far and away their best midfield player
Very good atmosphere initially, dampened a little by the two quick goals towards the end of the second half, both of which I missed as I'd gone for a piss and to get the pints in, but then we raised it again as we got more into it and the players showed the type of commitment that they have all season in never seeming beaten which fed into the Mackay in Tan out chants even more of course. The achy-breaky 'Don't sack Mackay' chant went on for around 40+ minutes after the whistle. Was potential for trouble had Anfield stewards and police been heavy handed but they dealt with it very well. My mate and I left after around half the fans had filtered away as our protest was in danger of turning into a dirty one.
Liverpool fans were very quiet and polite. 'Where's your famous atmosphere' and 'library' chants made an appearance, but they showed their support for us at the end and the manager by giving us a nice clap. Have read that the Kop joined in with the 'Don't sack Mackay' but I didn't notice that myself. Mackay did acknowledge us at the end though rather classily didn't milk it as someone like Tan doubtless would have. Watching on Match of the Day later Mackay looked like he was filling up as he made an exit and it wouldn't do for a big Scottish ex-Celtic defender to be seen blubbing I suppose. Glad I was there.

I don't think he thought about it originally.... just consulted Glen Hoddle or some other mystic
In relation to the game, Liverpool are really rather good. That Sterling was absolutely ruining Taylor down our left. He just doesn't have the pace for the PL. I think Medel looked heavy-legged and bringing in Kimbo and Campbell gave us more pace and creativity and we looked a lot better irrespective of whether Liverpool eased up. The game was beyond us by then but at least we got a goal back and kept the score to within two goals. An annihilation would have made life much easier for Tan.
Noticed Tan was dressed rather more somberly with a blue shirt and red tie, foregoing the tucked in red jersey. Was also surprised to see us not in yellow and if reports are to be believed, maybe there's hope for reconciliation yet. That may have been engendered by a paucity of options for Tan though as it stands.
I think Mackay is more than just a very good manager. He represents a portion of the club's hierarchy the fans can still relate to and respect. The main shareholder, chief executive, and the board have all shown us a lack of respect bordering on spite this past year or so in terms of the changes made at the club and the lack of dialogue with the fans. Mackay represents a final link to what many believe the club has lost in its identity and integrity. We're a laughing stock in all other areas save him and the performances he's inspired on the field. I like many others really don't think I could go on with the club were we to bring Sven in. He is as emblematic of what is wrong with football as those that would look to instal him.
odemwinge has been dire most every game....yesterday he was shocking and the more i see of medel, the more i think we overpaid massively for him
Good grief, CMN. How do you get out of bed in the morning?
they've both been really bad for a long time now
maybe we can get 6 million or sop back if medel has a decent world cup
i hope not to see odemwinge anywhere near the starting line up against saints
on the plus side, i thought cornelius looked ok...better than gestede
Class interview afterwards too, I must say.Originally Posted by Jimmy McNulty

Yes, he's been excellent in some games, competent in others but since his globetrotting adventures kicked in with the international games along with a tight fixture list these past few weeks, he's looked tired.

cardiff need to clean up house end of season if we stick it out
Marshal: keep
Catherine: keep
Caulker: keep
Turner: sell
Taylor: sell
Gunnarson: sell
Medel : sell at the right price...premier league doesn't suit him especially when up against pressing teams
noone: leaning towards keep but not by much
mutch: absolutely keep
whittingham: keep for set pieces
odemwinge: sell

I actually think that Whitts has been far worse than anyone else in our midfield though Gunnarson was as bad as anyone save perhaps Taylor yesterday. Apart from his dead ball use, he's been a passenger and Noone, Medel, and Bellamy if he ever reappears can provide very good set piece kicks. So he can certainly go.
The spine of the team would be
Marshall
Caulker
French Kev
Medel
Kimbo (he started to look good again last night and has done so more and more recently)
Cornelius (I do think he will come good with time)
Noone is a decent squad player
All other positions need strengthening/tweaking
