I think the template will be more rigid than ever: vary from it and you run a much bigger risk of losing money compared to everyone else.

And that's why we are already in a template in gw3: everyone is wildcarding in the same players.

GK - ? McCarthy (10%)

Def - Kompany (28.4%) Gomez (14.2%) Darmian (18.2%) Richards (10.1%) ?

Mid - Mahrez (24.1%) ? ? ? ?

For - Aguero (27%) ? ?

So, yeah, I think there's a lot of fluidity in there because a lot of people aren't quite set on which big-hitters to get in in midfield yet. If you want Silva AND Sanchez it has a big effect on the rest of the team and right now they're only 15% and 11% respectively. Interestingly, Aguerro only has 27% ownership and Hazard still has 48%

If you look at the ownership stats, they're heavily in favour of the players a lot of people brought in at the start of the season



Or maybe it's a fact of the fantasists that take it all more seriously than normal people being the early trend-setters and the majority will ultimately follow

Well a template doesn't mean every player set in stone to me.

Keepers and 4.5 players are variable.

But....

4.5 Gk / 5 Gk

4.5 def / Darmian / Kompany / Arsenal / 4.5 def

mahrez / Ayew / haz or Sanchez or silva / ? / 4.5

Benteke Aguero Gomis (or deeney or Wilson)

Very close to a template considering we've had two and a half game weeks, no?

Perhaps but there's still a lot of flexibility in there when you're not all going for the same expensive spine. I honestly can't remember when the template took shape last season though. I suppose we'll see in a few weeks how similar our teams are. Right now Noon and I have five of the same players in Payet, Ayew, McCarthy, Benteke and Aguero.

Joffers and I have five of the same players in Silva, Aguerro, Payet, Sanchez and Gomez.

Noon and Joffers have 7 players in common.

Payet and Aguero in common then across all three.

Looks like Pedro might figure in some varieties of the template. John Terry probably not.

Liverpool seem to be very tough at the back this year....the lad Joe Gomez may be a great purchase on the wc (even if on the bench )
