Yeah, I made this point a while ago - that what Cardiff needed to do was stand behind the manager and at least create a siege mentality. Blame opponents, blame referees, blame whoever they possibly can outside the club, even if time and time again it's proven that the problem is you're not good enough.Football isn’t always as straightforward as that though and inferior teams can often overcome their supposed betters if their spirit, character, effort, team work and organisation is better than the oppositions, but the trouble is, Cardiff City have been in decline for a period of more than four months when it comes to those qualities.
They needed to stand behind Mackay or at least get someone with a proven track record to at least make their home games something that opponents approached with some trepidation as at Stoke or Palace.
Ole just doesn't seem like someone to get the blood pumping, but more importantly the in-fighting has been hugely distracting when unity was needed.
