it seems you need to register for torrentspy.com
is it another annoying system with private trackers using registered IPs ?
Private trackers are not based on registered IP's. They are based on you being logged in (usually recognized by a cookie) when downloading the torrent. They will create a personal torrent for you which has an extra (unique) field in the report url.Originally Posted by Butterfly

Sin City ~ Black & White with ruby red lips and golden blond hair. Plenty of over the top dialog & voice over. The story line's lame but the women are scantily clad and nice to look at, plenty of great cars in it too. Visually impressive movie, I liked it. Great job of reproducing a comic book noir atmosphere.
artistically and technically yes an interesting movie, but the story line sucks and it was quite boring
Mickey Rourke & Bruce Willis were good in it I thought.
I was more impressed with the way they shot the movie, as Frankie said they really captured the essence of how a comic book looks and read's, as for the story-line it is what it is, an uncomplicated story that was quite simple as comic books are.
Reservoir Dogs is very good.
TV series: Heroes. I'm addicted.
Torrents are labelled like this: "Heroes.S01E09" = series 1, episode 9. Loads of seeds, high quality videos.
yeah I was thinking of downloading this one after I heard of a few spoilers on another forum. Seems interesting.
"The Wire": best TV show I have ever seen. Nothing even comes close. Makes "The Sopranos" and "The Office" writers look like a bunch of hacks. Just download the first two episodes and you will be hooked.
I downloaded the first series of the wire on njdesi's recommendation.Originally Posted by njdesi

It is outstanding and very understated for a police drama.
Very believable characters, much more so than the shield which I also love.
Thanks for that recommendation njdesi. I am nearly finished downloading series 2.
Getting rid of UBC was a sound decision. No time to watch it these days.
The comparison with the Sopranos is fair, but the Office?? How can you compare it with a comedy?Originally Posted by njdesi
ya, it's pretty good. got up to episode 18 now.Originally Posted by RDN
i downloaded it too after reading stuff on here. got all 4 series problem is the first series is .mkv files which won't burn to dvd on toast. i'll have to watch them later on the compooter.Originally Posted by ChiangMai noon
watched all 12 episodes of series 2 over the past 2 days. very very good. took a while to get used to the accents but excellent plotlines and very realistic. dunno if i would rate it over the sopranos yet though.
What if?
Obviously the same DL as me.Originally Posted by blackpanther

The .mkv download is excellent quality.
Blackadder ?
Spaced Out ?
Not comparing it to a comedy, more like comparing it to two shows that are better than most, but still aren't as good as "The Wire". The "Sopranos" first season was great, but then rapidly went downhill. There has been no dropoff in quality for "The Wire", and imo the fourth season is the best so far. Because the show's stars are mostly black and the writers don't dumbdown the show or go for easy payoffs (actually, quite the opposite), the ratings have been abysmal.Originally Posted by ChiangMai noon

I heard that the ratings had been bad.
Why do you think that happened.
It's superb.
Will be starting series 3 tonight.
I think my absolute favourites scene was in the firsat series when Mcnulty and his partner investigate the cold case of the woman shot through the mwindow in her apartment.
how they sustained a scene for nigh on 5 minutes with only the words 'fuck and mother fucker' beats me, but they did it.

My favorite scene was the courtroom scene with the attorney, Levy, and Omar. Actually, any scene with Omar is gold. They originally planned to kill him off after seven episodes, but his character was too popular so they had to keep him.
i haven't see it yet ...i should to open my eyes more than befor
What, including the ones with his boyfriends then?Originally Posted by njdesi

I laughed the first time the show revealed what he really was. The most manly and feared gangster on the show is gay. Apparently, it was based on a real person. Truth is stranger than fiction.
