The original UK version of Kitchen Nightmares was good, because about half of the restaurants he visited still failed because they were run by total cunts who refused to change their ways.

In the US version, its too much 'family based' and the stories are always successes. The worst that ever happens is a troublemaking chef/employee is fired.

Yeah it was good. I thought he came across quite well. I was laughing at them just dropping him off in the middle of a water fight.

they seemed a bit fucking vicious, my guess is that gervais would have laughed his head off if he'd been bitten. so i'll plump for the latter.

The US version is also edited like a music video so the intellectually challenged target audience feel at home.

Yep, the editing of the US version is painful and the stories more about the people than the food / business.

I get so fed up being told 50% of what was said previous to the last commercial break again because they assume I'm too stupid to remember.....
