    Creating video for online tutorials

    Hi,

I have video from a cam and I would like to place it on the internet. From what I have seen you need a special program to convert it to flash and play it from there. It is however in PAL format as it was created for television but I would like the clips to be placed on the internet in flash format. I have tried Wondershare but the conversion from PAL to flash had terrible picture quality.

I like Photobucket but they have adverts on on their video and it looks unprofessional. They won't remove it even if you pay for the hosting. What is the best program for creating good picture quality flash video?

YouTube, but I've never seen an flv file that has anything approaching good quality.

Why don't you just have an MPG or AVI video hosted somewhere?

If it is in AVI or MPG format would I need a streaming server? I know the flv files look like crap no matter what you do, but I don't know what has to stream and what does not need it.

How many people will view it?

If it's only a few, then you could host it somewhere free and people can download it from the link and view it on their PC. If it's for a lot of people, you would (depending upon how many) need to pay for hosting (these guys are good).

Do you really need it streaming?
You cannae live wiv 'em and ye cannae fucking shoot 'em

There's a few sites like YouTube. I always thought they converted the files to flv when you uploaded them, but I could be wrong as I've never tried.

All of them convert to FLV and they look horrible. I am going to try a real server for a few days and see how it runs.

    Thanks Marmers!
